  1. Don't you do any reading? The center

channel provides 80-85% of the information in DVD soundtracks to go

without one would just plain be assinine. Suck it up and get the

matching one for the job and find a place to put it.

Yea true... but it doesn't mean if he doesnt have a center channel that

he's missing out 80-85% of the soundtrack. IMO if your fronts image

well and the center info stays in the center regardless which side of

    the couch

you sit on (which i find impressive)... then a center channel might

    not be *needed.

    What speakers do you own?

If you can get it locally...you can always buy one and see if it adds anything to your system. Return it if it doesn't.

  2. I think $300~$450 would be the range for a used pair... and those are really good pricese IMO. I've seen them listed for $500 in audiogon, but i'm not sure if they sell. If you were willing to spend a little more, I have my rf-35 up for sale. Drop me a pm if you're interested.

Would these speakers be ideal to base my home theater around?

That will depend on your ears and how serious you are about your HT system. From what i've observed in this forum, the rc-7 is a great center, which is very crucial for a stellar HT system (center channel that is). The best answer is of course, try to find a place to audition the speakers you're interested in, and see (or hear) what will suit your needs.

Admin- I'm sorry for the clutter. I meant to post this in the Home theater section. Please feel free to delete this thread!

  5. Thank you for the people who replied. I sent you guys back each a message, so if you didn't get a reply from me... please contact me again. I don't see the option of finding out if the messages were sent, so I'm not too sure if it went out or not.

Congrats on the impressive deal you got on your new refs! Did that price mentioned included the cost of tax and/or shipping (if it applied), or was bought from an authorized dealer?

  6. Anyone in the Chicago land area interested in purchasing these? My friend will be auditioning it over the weekend, but I want to see if there is anyone else interested in it if he decides not purchase it.

  7. Hi, I'm interested to hear what the people in this forum found when comparing the different models through out the klipsch reference line. I always hear that rf-7/rb-75 is in a "different league" compared to rf3/rf35 & rf-5. But no one specifically explains what makes them different.

The reason i ask is i can trade-in the rf-35 and get a rb-75 + rsw12 by adding some $$$. The rf-7 is too bulky for me. I listen to 80% music for the record.

So what i'm asking for in this thread is a detailed explanation of the difference you heard between rf-7/rb-75 vs other models.

    thanks in advance!

  8. Just finished watching this movie and all I can say is...

    O M F G!

You guys are gonna <3 this movie for sure=p. I never knew my rf35s can put out so much nice bass. I was so impressed by the sound through out the movie that i'm actually posting =p.

I'm definitely gonna buy this one right when it comes out. Great movie.. and even greater sound.

Sheesh... I hope i'm not overhyping it 4.gif

    have fun! 5.gif

  9. Klipsch!! what's taking so long?

It's been a week since i last checked my order so i gave my dealer another call. Unfortunately... the speakers hasn't arrived yet. He went ahead and called klipsch to see what was going on with the shipment. When he called me back he explained that everything checks out with klipsch.. that it's in stock and ect. But klipsch told him, like the last 2 times i've called, "It will be near the end of next week"... AGAIN.

That's going over a month now =(.. what gives?

The dealer sympathized for me and gave me the option to cancel the order. He even offered some free services and even wires...

    sigh.. we'll see

    __

alright.. back to the main topic

If anyone has anymore comments/review about the rf-35... please post it here 1.gif . Your input is appreciated

  10. OMG I'M SO TIRED OF WAITING!

It's been 3 weeks and the rf35s hasn't arrived yet. I just called... and now i'm told the new ETA will be a week from now.

Waiting for a month for speakers is torture 15.gif

    Especially from an authorized dealer.

    *chokes pillow*

*sigh*.. just felt like whining a little.

    Anyways__

Any more comment/reviews about the rf35 is welcomed. I'm interested to hear more about its bass since there's so many mix reviews.

  11. I was told that they just recently started carrying the klipsch reference line... which is a good reason why they didn't have rf-35 to demo, and in stock.

When i stopped by there today they had a pair of rf-25s up in a room (which wasn't there before). So i'm assuming more klipsch reference speakers will eventually be displayed as the weeks goes by.
