  1. I vaguely remember the 4.1's have a digital readout volume displace from 0-60. Am I just imagining that because i dont see it in any of the pictures. Also does any know if the refurbs come with the updated control pod, and whets the difference between the two?

Well insane the 4.1s refurbished do come with the updated control pod but they do not have a digital readout volume ive not seen a set 4.1s from klipsch that do. The diffrence between the old 4.1s and the new ones are they fixed and tweeked up the crossovers. There a lot better sounding set of speakers than the old ones. I would recomend the refurbs. But take into consideration refurbs mean they had problems and they had to be sent back to the store. So i look at it as getting someones problems.

  2. It would seem all people here who baby them also lose them. Spare the rod, spoil the child I guess. I am so hard on my 4.1's it's a crying shame. They still sound and work like new.

I EXTREME UR EXACTLY RIGHT. I am also very abusive to my 4.1s also. I guess thats true cause everyone on here who baby there speakers have problems. I like the saying too dont worry about cut them up it wont hurt the speakers...but they might hurt you.... as far as hearing goes lol .

  3. to MD1032,

the way you speak is as though you are a pro, even if you wanna correct me, use a better manner. I use the PM4.1 for music as well and i place the rear sats high on the wall behind me, i do not like switching on all my sats when listening to music as they are creating some kinda unnessary echos. place your rear sats on the wall high up and you'll know. the way you are placing your rear sat you are not going to enjoy a proper surround sound. For me, my rear sats are only used in movies and game, other than that, it's often "shut-up". the dual 6.5" driver of the PM4.1 is only going to increase the volume of the bass, but can't go lower frequency than the 8" driver. The larger the woofer driver, the lower the frequency can be be hit. surround speakers are not ment to be uses for music, maybe for techno or dance. klipsch produced the PM4.1 with gamers in mind

1.gif I agree with jackson completey. They did invent the 4.1s with gamers in mind. And the bigger the speaker the lower the frequency is totally true hands down. One 8 inch woofer will drop lower than 2 6.5s hands down. Look at it this way sure u got 2 6.5s but just because u got two does not make the frequency of how they can go any better. There the exact same speaker so one can only go so low adding the exact same one u just got louder noise with the frequencys it can go. So i agree with jackson complety an 8inch sub will have lower frequency hands down. And to think about it a 6.5 is consider a mid not a subwoofer. The 8 inch is a subwoofer so there those extra inches on the speakers is gonna go a little lower than the 6.5s. In my opion though im just waiting for them to come out with 2 10 inch subs for the pc then it will be awsome!!!9.gif

  4. I just thought that i would give a complement to klipsch. Klipsch the 4.1 promedias i bought 2 years ago are a really nice set of speakers. Ive had them for 2 years and they have never once failed or had a problem or nothing. I guess the saying geos loudspeakers yes i would agree with that saying. Ive abused the things very often ever since I have had them but there always there to produce clean crisp sound for me when i need them at any volume. Ive always been a fan of klipsch and im gonna continue. Yall have a very nice staff and are always willing to help when u can. I love my 4.1s and just thought i would say thanx for a great product. Im looking into buying a set of ultra 5.1 promedias just for the mere fact that the 4.1s has gaving me some hearing loss so i need more power to suit my needs lol. No seriously great job. Also in conclusion has anyone else had such great service out of there 4.1s.

  5. hey all my klipsch 4.1 v2-400 the subwoofers not distored or static or nothing infact it plays everything really clear its just unbelivably noticeable quiet. i mean it use too shake pictures on the wall now u can barley here it. it doesnt sound like the subwoofer is busted at all i mean every note that it hits its as clean as the day i bought them but its just not near as loud any suggestions on fixing this problem any help would be greatly appriciated.

  6. i thought that also that my speakers have gotten quiter also but nope i figured out that it was me myself and i i had done got to were my ears ajusted to the loudness of the volume i did this Do this ok leave ur speakers at a low normal listing volume for a week or two dont cut them up. Then after the week or two cut them up and they should sound like there old selfs again
