  1. MD trust me, I did come to these forums when I was having problems. I was looking for any solution, I was even ready to sell them for $50-$100 less then what I had paid even though they had hardly been used. The dealer I went through is called "Krazy Kileys" and as far as I know they are an authorized dealer. Its not local to my city but rather the next city down, which is about 60 miles away. I made numerous special trips to see if my sub was finished, calling just didn't seem to get the pressure on but what a waste of gas. I'm sure your right about the static but there was NO REASON for the long wait... and then not willing to give me a speaker wire? Like come on take one out of a set you have and get klipsch to replace it. I couldn't believe they were that hard up about a simple wire, so I had to go spend the cash and get a wire/adapter. All thanks to THEIR MISTAKE. It must just be me but I have been getting some bad luck with the stuff i own; it ends up owning me. My monitor for instance "ACANA", I got it for a good price since its not a very well known name but I didn't think that would affect the service. It took my monitor over 2 months to get fixed. They wouldn't even give me a 19" replacement, the best they would offer was a 17". I'm not at all careless with my stuff either, I like to think I take good care of most of it. The only thing I can think with both my monitor and my klipsch is I always left them plugged in. I'm not sure how that would effect the longevity. Its to bad because I was really starting to appreciate these speakers, having been using them a lot for movies. They sound great, even better then with music imo. btw I live in Canada, so that could be a reason why service takes so long but I still think its unacceptable and tarnishes klipsch name.
  2. I've had nothing but troubles with the 4.1's since I got them. Seems to me they have A LOT of issues for the price paid. I paid $500 CAD for them about 2 years ago, at first people told me it was a waste of money but I assured them it wasn't. At the time I thought I was making a wise choice after reading quite a few comments from owners of them. BOY WAS I EVER WRONG!!! No suprise really, I seem to have bad luck so I'm not saying they are all bad, but the first thing was static problems, not a peticular satelite but rather the channel itself(I think it was front left). After checking these forums I came to the conclusion that it would be something I'd have to deal with since quite a few people were having similar problems... but it got to much to handle so they sat and collected dust while I rarely if ever used them. One day I decided I should take them back and try to get a replacement or my money back, so the first time I went back they said they would repair my sub. WHICH TOOK MONTHS!!!!! Seriously almost 2 months without it, then I get it back and after 2-3 weeks its just as bad as before. So I returned again, this time they replaced the speaker with the control pod, this seemed to solve most of it. YET when they gave me the new speaker they took my speaker wire but never gave me another one, GJ!!!!!. I went back and tried to get it but they wouldn't give me one? I'm not blaming this one on Klipsch but it just adds fuel to the fire. So I only used the front 2 channels until I went to radio shack and got the right alternative so I could run all 4 speakers. After this my Klipsch had been more then great, still got some static with the control pod when turning the nobs but I was happy with how they were sounding; UNTIL about 4 days ago when "magically" they stopped working, no red/green led. Nothing at all, there seems to be absolutely no power, even the sub doesn't want to work. I've tried leaving the power cord out, and its been days and they still refuse to work. I've tried different outlets, checked the wiring, unplugged the wire coming from the control pod. NOTHING!!!! Real Good, I'm sick of these speakers, I don't buy products to fix, I buy them to use. And since I paid half a g I don't think thats to much to ask, do you? I'm pretty sure they are dead and I doubt the place I bought them from will help me out at all if any. I wouldn't want to deal with them anyhow, like I said last time they ended up making me wait months for it. Thats toally uncalled for, and I think Klipsch really needs to look at who they let carry their products because companys like these can tarnish a good name like Klipsch. Tt looks like these will be expensive ordiments. SUPER!
