i just bought a sony ps2... the newest model 3900, and i cant get the dd5.1 to recognize the dolby input. i am going through the optical connection. i dont know how it auto detects, but when i plug it in it says stereo, even when i am watching a dvd video with 5.1dd enabled. am i missing something. i have to use the prologic button on the remote and set it to "all pcm" if i want to hear from all the speakers. i know this isnt hte right configuration. i am going to grab a set top dvd player and see if the dd-5.1 will recgnize that signal. the dd 5.1 can recieve dolby digital though the optical right? thats what it says in the manual. I read in another post on xbox it doesnt show up either. is the the same case? to best of my memory, when iborowed my friends older ps2 im 99% sure i was recieving a dolby 5.1 signal from it. i dont know whats the deal with this one. any info would greatly be appreciated!!
