  1. Hey All, I currently run a Denon 4802 in my dedicated Home Theater which I use 50-50 between movies and music, I now have the upgrade itch. I am looking at the new 4308 Denon or the Onkyo 905, the Denon is not THX nor does it have a torodial supply, the Onkyo has both. I was wondering if anyone out there has experience with matching Forte's with onkyo receivers and how is the sound?? I really like the warm sound of the Denon but the new Onkyo seems to have more bells and whistles while also being cheaper. Thanks...
  2. Thanks for the replys. I am now leaning toward Hersey's in the back and hopefully on the sides too, I need to be sure they do not get in the way for headroom as you try to get to the couches. The KSF 10.5's I have extra will probably definetly need to find a new home, if anyone is interested drop me an email and I will get pics etc. I hope to start construction in the next 2 weeks and have it finished by June 1st. I will be posting the entire process on the AVS forum and look forward to any suggestions and/or criticisms when I start.
  3. Thanks Bill: I have the Forte I's. I also forgot to mention that the room size will be approx. 16x27x9 give or take a bit. The room will be 50% movies and 50% music, a place where I can listen to my classic rock and not have my 10yr old to tell me to "turn it down". I also have a pair of KSF 10.5's but I do not believe they would match up well with what I am planning. Dave
  4. I am in the planning stages to build a new HT and will be using my current Forte's in the front with a KLF-C7 center, the system will be 7.1. I have been looking at either R-35's for the sides and rears or finding some used Hersey's. I will be using my current Hsu VTF-2 sub or an upgrade. All will be processed by a Denon 4802. Any suggestions for what would be best for the sides and rears??
  5. I am going to replace my rear surrounds (Polk Mk-II's) and was wondering if anyone had experience with either the CS650-R's or the RCR-3's. The ceiling in my listening area is cathedral type with the slanting toward my listening position. I plan on using 2 pairs for side and rear surrounds since my Denon 4802 supports that option. Also, is the optional mounting kit required to install these speakers? Any feedback on ceiling or wall mounts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.
