  1. I just got a RW-12 and need to run the proper cables under the house. For 5.1 movies I assume hooking up the LFE to my sony receiver (STR-DE975) would sound the best, but what about for non 5.1 shows? Can I also run speaker wire from the L/R of the receiver to the sub? It would be parallel runs as the Fronts would be connected to the same terminals (L/R) on the receiver. Or would it be better to use the RCA Line inputs of the SUB and do something plug into the "2nd room" output of the receiver? Confused.
  2. The front of the room where the Plasma will be is a fireplace and built-in bookshelves and cabinets for the entire wall. The RFs would have to sit in front of the cabinets far enough forward to allow access to them, thus sitting out in the room too far. We currently have Floorstanding speakers, of a lower end and need to move away from those to get more seating in the room. My main concern is the depth requirement for the rear ported RC-7, since the mantle is only 12" deep.
  3. We are upgrading our family room to include a SONY 50" XBR Plasma and Klipsch. The Family room is 15( The TV will be on this wall) X 21. Two other rooms join this room. A Kitchen 15x11 and a Sunroom 14x21. I am considering the RB-35/RC-35/RS-35/RW-12. I would like to upgrade the fronts to the RB-75/RC-7, but I only have 9" Height and 12" Depth on the mantle, since the Plasma will be mounted above the fireplace. I see the RC-7 is rear ported vs. the RC-35 is front ported. How much clearance do I need to allow in the rear for this? Also, are the bindings recessed like the RC-35? If I cannot fit a RC-7 center, should I still get the RB-75, or do I need to match the center and get the RB-35? The couch will be about 15' from the front wall, where the speakers will be. The rears will be only a couple feet behind the couch, but closer to 8' high, so due to budget I was hoping to get away with the RS-35. However, this rear area is where this room opens to the other rooms. Is this a bad idea? Thanks for any assistance, Steve
