  1. I have a dilema, I am going to upgrade from a rc3 to a rc7 everythings good so far. Budget allows a second upgrade if the price is right . Fronts from rf5 to rf7 or sub from rw12 to rsw15, Opinions needed !!!:)

  2. I just read an article in audio revolution about the good guys going out of bussiness, so any body in so cal thinking of buying klipsch reference speakers, may be getting good deals soon.

  3. It actually depends on the aspect ratio of the dvd.

Anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 will fill the whole screen.

Widescreen letterbox 2.35:1 (preserves the original theatrical version)you will get black bars top and bottom.

And regular 4.3 you will get side bars.

But with the new tv you should have aspect ratio control and you can fill the whole screen.

  4. I am not sure but I know they were bought out by Comp USA either last year or two years ago, and the Torrance store will become a Comp USA.

  5. Tranzam01 The Good Guys are closing a few stores. The store located in Torrance has a 25% off sale on all floor samples until 9pm today. On Saturday they are having a super sale at their Long Beach store, from all the other stores that are closing. I think the sale only applies to the floor sample inventory. I hope this helps.

  6. Iam runnig my rf5s with the denon 3802, and Iam planning to add a rotel 1075. How much of a inprovement over the 3802, A salesrep told me that I was just going sideways, Anybody running rotel with klipsch, how good is the 1075 125x5.

  7. Does anybody know if the rf5 are going to be discontinue. I saw and ad at good guys, a pair of rf5 for $379.00 it sounds very low may be a misprint. Any body know anything.

  8. Ok I got the rf5 and the rw12 even after all of you guys opinions which were very helpfull I just did not like the rsw10 performance plus it was a return and was a little beatup on top. Review system denon 4802r denon 2900. rf7 were just to big for my set up. I got every thing for $2000 out the door no interest for 36 months. You guys think is a good deal.

  9. Ok now that i got the sub part out of the way, what about the rf5 vs the rp3s. One more question for about the same i can get the rb75 which is has been advertised as the rf7's little brother. how does the rf5 stacks to the rb75?

  10. I have a quick question, right now I have rp3s at front with no separate sub woofer. I can get the rf5 and the rsw10 for a good price. Would that be a big improvement over my rp3s with their built in subs i hope I make sense.

  11. Does any one have any experience with these two brands and how they preform and compare with the klipsch reference series. Looking at the adcom 7605 125x5 and the rotel rmb 1075 120x5, both amps retail for $1000.00. Which one would you recommend?

  12. I will upgrade to a universal player in a couple of weeks (denon 2200). But my ? is about my set up (fronts rp3 center rc3 surrounds rs3) I am thinking of replaceing my surrounds for the rf25 or two rc3 in a vertical position on stands. Would this be better for sacd and dvd audio play back having two 6.5 vs one 6.5 on the rs3. I hope this makes sence. 3.gif

  13. First, thanks for all the inputs. I ended up buying the Toshiba. Not only did I get a better deal, but I got the 51hx83(which is their cinema series) instead of the 51h83. Picture wise, HDTV & DVD look excellent. Cable on the other hand is just ok. One more question, for the price($500+) is professional calibration a must or is it overated. 3.gif
