In response to krispykoilz: I am pushing the Academy w/ an Onkyo M-501 at about movie theater sound levels. I did play around & find that the tweeter seemed to be the source, so I ordered a new one ($45) and will see where this takes me. I will post the results.

My Academy has started to crackle during loud car chase, war fotage, action scenes. Also, this seems to also be affecting the picture on my widescreen tv, which it is on top of. Any help or ides on the cause?

Just in case anyone wants to know, the crossovers cost me $75.34 each from Klipsch

I bought a pair of Chorus II on Ebay, and I believe that during shipping the speakers were dropped, breaking the crossover circuit boards on both speakers. Doea anyone know where I can find replacement crossovers, and how much I would expect to pay for them? Thanks much for any input.
