Thanks. I suspected as much. It is the Pioneer 667 and it is connnected to the DD5.1 by a coax RCA digital cable.

I bought a PIONEER SACD/CD/DVD player and am unable to get 5 channel audio reproduced from the DD5.1/V5.1 combo when I play an audio only SACD. Is the DD5.1 not suitabel for SACD?
