  1. OK all is set up and it sounds GREAT. Actually sounds better to me than the DD5.1 which I just dis-assembled. I have a Sony DVD player optically hooked in as well as digital coax in from my external SB audigy. Another cool thing is the Viewsonic video unit I purchased that allows me to hook up the extra 21" monitor for the DVD as well as Cable TV. All run through the AV as well! I am a happy camper. I purchased the receiver with all this in mind but did not get the fact that I did have pre-outs until reading this thread. Thanks for all your input! Toni
  2. Duh.... OK so for the sub/center cable(from the Ultra's) the Y cable splits from the 1/8" out to a RCA in for Center and a RCA in for Subwoofer?
  3. OK.....My yamaha receiver has pre-outs as well. 1 for the subwoofer, 2 main jacks, rear center, center, and rear surround (2). So my question is how do you hook up the Ultra's? Toni
  4. Thanks! That was it for both cases. Now it is picking up the signal. Appreciate

  6. OK....I need help, I have a separate Sony DVD player hooked into the DD-5.1 via an optical input. When playing a DVD from this source the decoder always shows PCM Stereo Optical. I also have a USB Audigy 2NX and if I put a game or DVD (with digital only on) and connected to the decoder via digital coaxial cable, I still get PCM Stereo Coxial. Anybody have any ideas? I have tried different DVD's etc. The DVD player to the decoder is most puzzling as this does not go thru the soundcard at all. Thanks in advance...this is driving me nuts! BTW I am running this with the Ultra's Toni
