  1. Received my 2 recent E-Bay purchases , a HK 630 item # 3078179292, HK 430 item # 3078735424 . Can be seen on E-Bay under these 2 item #'s . They just do not sound any better to me than what I already own,and the major drawback is that I can not run my 2 pairs of KG 4's at the same time. If anyone is interested please contact me. I am willing to sell them for what I payed for them minus the cost of what I paid to ship them to me. You will have to pay the cost to ship them to youself. I live in upstate NY zip code 13365
  2. I also have an Hk 430 and an HK 630 that I will sell ,they are recent E- bay purchases . I received them at my house today ,after trying them I do not see why everyone thinks they sound so much better than more modern equipment. My main problem is that I can not run my 2 pairs of KG 4's at the same time,so the little bit of sound improvement just does not make it worthwhile to me. If you want to see them check them out on E-Bay the HK 630 was item # 3078179292 the HK 430 was # 3078735424 They were won by markgodlew ,thats me. MARK GODLEWSKI
  3. I went and looked it up in the owners manual and you were absolutely right. The KG 4 speaker is rated at 6 ohms ,if running two pairs drops it in half-3 ohms. The manual on the 630 states "Whenever you plan to operate more than 2 speakers simultaneously, make absolutely sure that their total load impedance WILL NOT fall below 4 ohms."
  4. Has anyone ever heard of these ,are they any good. Or how about HK "lyric",both have tubes.
  5. Anyone have any experience with this model,it supposedly has the same warm sound as the 500 B / C models ,this is there transistor version
  6. Slightly more costly. How do the KG 5.5 sound when compared to the old Heresy or Forte speakers, they had a pair for sale on E bay
  7. Does anyone have an opinion on which would be better to run 2 sets of kg 4's.Or isn't there much of a difference?
  8. Is that what is meant by the twin power designation on the hk 630,430 etc..vs. the 330's . I was wondering if I should have held out and payed more to purchase a marantz quad ,such as a 4230,4240 ,4270
  9. Do you have any opinion on how hard it would be on a HK 630 if you would try to run 2 sets of Klipsch KG 4's. Or any idea how the sound might suffer? Thanks for any info that you might have.
  10. Thanks for the reply I just purchased the HK 630 on line today ,I saw that it had hook ups for 2 sets of speakers but was not sure if you could run them at same time
  11. Just getting started,I have purchased 2 sets of KG 4 ,and a HK 630 on E Bay,have not received any of them yet.Wanted to introduce myself. I had a system with an old pair of Bose 601's that I bought back in 1978,I used to have a Sansui G 5500 that I bought at the same time. I presently have a Sony STR -D915 that I bought in 1994 or so,and another set of older pioneer speakers. Is it possible to run 2 sets of speakers off the HK 630 at the same time? I do not think so,but thought I would ask
