  1. Well Union.

Try wigling the jacks in the back of the sats till you get the least noise out of them.

Check to see if you don't get any interferance from other devices. ex.

If my tv tuner(line in) is off i can still hear it faintly in the background.

So whenever i watch movies or play games i mute my line in.

This is actually 75% of the hiss i get from my pros. I couldn't believe how quiet my pros where at high volumes(no sound playing) when i mute/unmute my tv tuner.

Anyways play around with the wiring a bit it might help.

  2. LOL fawwaz biggrin.gif

I got bx6 rev.2 mobo along with p3700. I plan on waiting a little bit to do the next upgrade.

New mobo's are coming out and faster system buses will be available soon + will need new ram, cpu, vid card most likely.

I hope my pc can tough at least another year.

BTW got a spare 500 celeron and voodoo3 3000 kikin around

    Any takers??? lol

I think my pile will just get bigger and bigger.

  3. Well asudhir, since i've been making sings for about 15 yrs. now (give or take), i feel i might be able to point you in the good dir.

First off, lightly sand the surface you wish to paint (400 grit sandppr or similar). Be carefull about the dust (dust gets everywhere)

Then with a damp cloth wipe the surface clean as best you can.

Use a cleaner that removes grease ie. windex or somth. (greasy finger prints can ruin a paint job)

For the type of paint i would recomend waterbased acrylics. (easy to clean and doesn't smell so offensive)

If you want to put the effort in to it i would suggest you use an acrylic primer first. (it really makes the paint stick better and makes it tougher and last longer)

Use brushes, tape an x-acto knife(to cut designs with) especially an airbrush if you have access to one biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Check the labels on the paint containers to see the recommended surfaces (it's a good indication to how it will perform. Might stick for a while but if it's not the right stuff it wont last)

Hope i gave you some helpfull tips, if you got other quest. on painting feel free to ask.

  5. As far as a tv tuner is concerned. ATI has the best one.

I have an old Zoltrix and it works fine (on my 2nd pc but interface is ugly (and poor features), I use to own an AverMedia tv/fm 98

(i fried it installing a defective 3dprophet mx) but the features were no good and the pic. & vid. capture we're of poor quality.

A guy that works with me has a Hauppauge tv tuner and in this region it doesn't get all the chanels.

I know for dvd decoding a lot of people are disapointed with the ati.

But for a 3dcard/tvtuner you can't go wrong with ATI.

  6. AHAHAHAHA biggrin.gif

    LMAO.

I was wondering about that for a few days.

"All your base are belong to us"

I just got back from my buddy's place and he had the song playing.

I think it's new, i only heard half of it, but when i saw the title on the winamp bar i said "Hey, that's where that comes from"

I guess maybee the song comes from that game? i don't know.

Anyway search it on Napster and some of you might like it.

  7. quote:

So for big gamers like me , I say I dont really have choice to buy one of those even if the price is really high.

I understand your passion Mike biggrin.gif.

Even though i know i'm gonna upgrd. vid card (as sure as death and taxes). I will definately buy the card that has been out for 4 to six months already.

And i know the "Golf ball" thing was just an ex. (i'm a cynical bstd.)

The prog. vertex and pixel shaders are really neat, Artist would'nt have to actually model those dimples in (wich would result in increased file sizes and rendering time)

It is amazing what they're coming out with.

  8. Ok ok, i'm no vid. card expert nor pc expert for that matter.

I'm sure it's a big improvement over the existing 3d chipsets. But c'mon man the prices on the upcoming cards are FREAKIN ridiculous!!!!!

You know damn well that 6 months after that some other card will blow that one away.

    Ati maybee???

I didn't want to offend anyone either. Especially you Nvidia owners. There are a lot of you. (the review stated that Nvidia captured 47% of desktop graphics chip shipments during the fourth quarter)

  9. Yeah well, how much is this thing gonna cost?

    Too much i bet.

The review said that the geforce3 runs Quake3 in 1024x768 Anti-Aliased at about 70fps. I just looked up my "el cheapo" Radeon 32mb ddr

and it runs it at 61.1 and the geforce 2(gts i think) ran it at 66.1.

I sure hope they don't sell it over 800.00 cnd. people would be stupid to pay that much for so little improvement.

Although it is neat that it has

    quote:

programmable vertex and pixel shaders, which allow the illusion of dimples to be added to a golf ball.

then again i don't play golf games.

    Bllllaaahaahahaaaahahaha biggrin.gif
