  1. If the horn is mounted on top of the cabinet, it is the movie/school/church/theater version of the A7 'voice of the theater' it is a model A5. Depending on the condition of the 15"s and the model of the HF driver it is a bargain just for the parts...real heavy alnico magnets in the 15's (if they are original and not reconed or monkey'd with)....very efficient but not quality of Klipsch LaScala's or Khorns for home use IMHO. The box is huge and you need a truck to move one of these A5. If it is 2x15" with a horn in the middle centered above the 2 15" it is a ? model and was used as a sound studio monitor in the good old days....way, way cool item.
  2. Decided to buy new Klipsch 15" K33E's for the Klipschorns but before i hook them up to AA crossovers any way to make sure no problems exist causing the 15" or other drivers to turn to garbage...i do not have a ocilloscope to test frequency response....thanks much for any insight you can give me.
  3. ok finally found a pair of used all wood birch Klipschorns...i thought i could afford...rented a van (these are monsters!) got them home, hooked them up, and guess what? no bass.......... both 15" are blown...ok recone i think? sounds like a proper start to the problem, then I will evaluate and see how they sound, i think to myself? well i opened them up and what do i find? a K33e with a round magnet and a K33e with a square magnet...no way can the acoustics match on these. i am assuming this! so recone is out of question at this point...does anybody have a K33e available that can be reconed, so i can have a matching pair????? i am open to suggestions on new replacements also...
