  1. I read somewhere where somebody said to switch the power cable on them because the factory one sucks. Is this true? I just got the Xr-50 and it flashes OVERFLOW for some reason. The only thing I saw in the manual was OVELOAD which turns it off. It doesn't say overload though. Also it doesn't have hardly any bass. THe Rb-35s sound damn good but the receiver just isn't putting out the bass I would like. Please help.:(

  2. Well a channel for my front left seems to have quit working partially. It still works a little bit but it has fuzz and stuff and the sound sucks. I switched speakers to make sure it wasn't the speaker.

I have the RB-35s up front and the RB-15s in back, forget the number on the center channel. lol It is Klipsch as well though.

Now to my question, what would be a good receiver??? Keep in mind I don't feel like spending a ton.

Best Buy or Circuit City,(forget which one) has an ad for a Pioneer 5.1 500 watts 100 per channel for $179. Is that a good deal????

What about a Denon? I don't really need the 7.1 or whatever the 3803 is. So what is a good 5.1 receiver. ANY help is GREATLY appreciated!!!! Thanks!

  3. Hello, I have had my RB-35s for a few weeks and I think they are awesome. The only reason why I bring this up is I see people saying that with Klipsch speakers the receiver is VERY important. I have a pioneer receiver(Dolby 5.1). Not to sure of the model #. To damn lazy to go in the other room and look. lol2.gif It definately has enough power to run the surround system. RB-35s up front, RB-15s as surrounds, and KSC-C1 center channel. I am just wondering if I am not getting the best of my Klipsch system. I was/am VERY happy with my setup until I saw people saying the receiver makes a huge difference. Help me please. Thanks!!!!!!!

  4. Yeah, they sound awesome! Just didn't want to crank em up to far(I still did a few times though) if they were supposed to be broke in. After reading the manual it doesn't mention a break in period though. So tommorrow they are going to get a workout!9.gif I think it was worth the $50 or so extra dollars for sure. Even just the trade in deal made it worth that. Who knows I may want to upgrade sometime.2.gif Not any time in the near future though. I don't see a need.

    Klipsch rocks!!!!!!!!

  5. Got the RB-35s tonight and love em!!!! Instead of getting them off of the net I bought them off of a dealer. Got them for $505 out the door which isn't bad IMO. I paid about $50 more than I would have had I got them off the net, but this way if something goes wrong(highly doubt it) I can get them fixed. And if I want, later down the road I can trade them in and if the speaker I buy costs twice what it costs I get the full amount I paid for the other speakers on trade in! Pretty awesome deal. Which is something I couldn't have done if I had bought them on the net.

Overall I think the speakers sound awesome! They have alot more bass than I thought they would have had for a bookshelf. The mids and highs sound amazing! Glad I went with 35s. They sound awesome with the RB-15s in back. I have the KSC-C1 center channel which sounds good with the setup as well. Now I have Klipsch all the way around! 9.gif For now I'm happy.2.gif

Are they supposed to have any break in period???

  6. Thats what I was afraid of.15.gif I wish you would have responded to one of my posts because I would have bought the 4.5s. I just wanted one person to tell me to go with them over the 35s. I was going to buy the 4.5s but everyone on here said to go with the 35s. Everybody says the 4.5s are awesome for music but not as good for movies?!?!?!

  7. I was going to bid but everybody told me to go for the RB-35s instead. That seemed pretty cheap for the 4.5s. They would have been a little over $300 with shipping though. I hope I made the right choice.:) If it wasn't for you guys telling me to get th 35s I would have bought the 4.5s3.gif

  8. Hello, I can't decide whether or not I should go with the 4.5s or the RB-35s in front. What would be a good price for used 4.5s? What about new RB-35s? These will be for fronts in a surround setup. I have heard that the 4.5s sound really awesome for music. What about movies???? I will be watching more movies than I will be listening to music. Please let me know. I need to try and make a decesion soon. Thanks

  9. What would be a good price for a pair of new RB-35s???? Are they pretty good??? Also have my eye on a pair of RB-25s as well. Just can't decide if either of these two are good enough for fronts. 1.gif Just don't know if they have enough bass. I would just get a sub but my receiver doesn't have a spot for a sub which kind of sucks.8.gif It just has a place for 2 fronts a center and 2 rears.
