  1. As long as the player has a digital out (coax or optical), and you have a good receiver, a player is a player is a player. The signal being sent to the receiver will be the same on an $80 Pioneer unit as it will on a $700 Denon (although the Denon will likely have other improved features, such as a larger buffer to avoid preceived skipping, etc.). If you're using DIGITAL output, then it's your RECEIVER's DAC's that matter. If you're using ANALOG outputs from the CD/DVD player, then the opposite is true, and now the DAC's on the player actually matter. Hope this helps.
  2. Hmmm... Good information. The store where I was going to get the RB-25's carries the full Klipsch reference line, including in-walls, so I may have to stop in & listen to the in-wall speakers & see what I think. (Unfortunately, the room they have the in-walls in is not much bigger than a closet... Think "car audio room" and you'll know what I'm talking about. That will play a big part in how they sound, and I'm sure it won't make them sound any better. )

I'd LOVE to have in-walls, from an aesthetic standpoint (I mean, look at the picture again...) but I'm just afraid that I'd be disappointed with the sound in the long run.
  4. I'm buying a house that has a home theater system built into the wall, but the speakers the current owner is using are pathetic little home-theater-in-a-box Panasonics. Here is a picture of the front of the room: The surround speakers are those same little Panasonics attached to ceiling mounts. My system, by contrast, is based on a Denon AVR-1803 receiver and Denon 2200 DVD player. I'm planning to get a set of RB-25's for the front speakers, mounted exactly where the little Panasonics are now, with RS-25's on the ceiling mounts and an RC-25 on a glass shelf above the TV. My question is whether anyone here is using the RB-25's as wall-mounted speakers, using the keyhole mounts? If so, do you get any wall vibrations from doing so? Would it be helpful to place some sort of sound-deadening material between the speaker and the wall? (Stick-on rubber spacers, perhaps?) I'm sure these speakers would probably sound a little better placed away from the wall on stands, but I'm willing to sacrifice a LITTLE clarity for aesthetics (which is why I'll be getting the RB-25's instead of the larger RB-35's). Thanks for any help!
