I have a yamaha httr 5540 reciever. I have option of lfe signal to main sub or both. i set it to both. i also tried turning up the subs output level knobs. the hum just gets louder.

i tried all ways, rca to the lfe jack, wire to the speaker jacks and both. Maybe i dont have it programed right on the reciever. i don't know. this is the first time i have owned a subwoofer.

I purchaced a ksw 10 and recieved it by ups with a broken foot and can't get it to work. I get a green led but no output except a hum. Did I hook it up wrong or did it get damaged in shipping. Could someone please tell me what is wrong with it. Thank you.
