  1. Thanks for the advice Ironwoods, or should I say Captain Obvious? I did a search on heresy risers and could not find any dimensions. Perhaps the "slant" may have helped. Anyways, true thanks to Budman.
  2. If the grills are brown I am might be interested. My kg4 grills right now are black, but my fortes II's are brown. I'd sure like to have a set that matches. Let me know when you find out the color.
  3. I just got done refinishing and upgrading my '84 heresys. My next project for these speakers is building risers for them. I need to know the correct dimensions for the original heresy slant risers. (front height, rear height, length, and width)Thanks for your help!
  4. I just picked up a pair of '84 Klipsch heresy speakers. The original black finish was showing a lot of wear so I am in the process of refinishing them. I have sanded them down to the original wood (one oak, and of course the other birch) so a new coat of black is what they are getting. Anyways, are there any mods that I can make to the inside of cabinets to improve the sound? I was thinking about caulking all the seams and the applying a sound deadener such as dynamat, or a hard rubber coating to the entire inside of the cabinet. I was also going to put an air tight seal on the removable back panels. What do you guys think???
