I just picked up a pair of '84 Klipsch heresy speakers. The original black finish was showing a lot of wear so I am in the process of refinishing them. I have sanded them down to the original wood (one oak, and of course the other birch) so a new coat of black is what they are getting. Anyways, are there any mods that I can make to the inside of cabinets to improve the sound? I was thinking about caulking all the seams and the applying a sound deadener such as dynamat, or a hard rubber coating to the entire inside of the cabinet. I was also going to put an air tight seal on the removable back panels. What do you guys think???
