I checked my Cornwalls and there is an "F" stamped exactly where you said it would be. All I know is my dad got them somewhere in North Florida like either Jacksonville or St. Augustine. I just hooked them both up and I am quite disturbed. One speaker has a blown tweeter. The other works fine with my receiver. Sound is good but you can tell this Technics receiver doesn't have near the power to make the sound as full as it should. Are these tweeters easy to replace?

I just turned one around, the tag says: TYPE: CBR SERIAL # 31x 212 Inspected by Terri Glass ( hand signed) Tested by: Mark Black ( hand signed ) dated 1980 send me your email and I can zap you some photos...I need help identifying the finish..looks like a light walnut... to be honest with you they are in decent shape but there are some tiny dings .. I would LOVE to get these cabinets completely refinished someday.

Thanks, I have been doing some homework, I checked out those tube amps everyone seems to have at nosvalves...they don't look too too pricey. My forte over the years has been collecting, archiving music, esp live recordings and I have thousands of hours of recorded music. I plan on buying a house or building one here in the next 2-3 years and I want to finally put together an amazing sound system to really enjoy all of this music. This place feels so warm and cozy already.

I just inherited my father's Cornwalls. They have been in our house since 1980 and I have always coveted them. He used to have a really high end Bang & Olufsen system that made these speakers sound great. I want to put together my own system for these but I am unsure where to go. Right now I have a pair of Cerwin Vegas and a decent Technics receiver but I am really looking to put together something nice for these speakers. Any of you audiophiles know what sounds best with these Cornwalls? I listen to everything from Jazz to Classical, Bluegrass, Reggae, Rock, you name it. Thanks
