I am planning on purchasing a pair of used CF3's from a private party. I know the KLF series was notorius for the back pannel on the cabinet comming loose, making a banging noise. Does any one know if the CF3's had the same problem? It appears to me that they were not glued properly during production on SOME of these. Must have been the ones that were produced on mondays and fridays! By the way, for anyone looking at buying a pair of KLF's or CF's....a pretty full proof way of checking to see if the back pannel is loose at all is to make a fist and "knock", as if you would knock loudly on a door, and knock on the entire back pannel, around the edges of the entire back pannel. If you notice anyplace that makes a higher pitched noise, like if you slapped two pieces of wood together, you have found a weak spot and probably will have problems in the future. I went through this with 3 pairs of KLF 30's, finally getting a solid back pannel, but on the down side, all 3 pairs voice coils rattled when the bass would hit...very annoying, so I got a refund. Went to the SF2's, and they do not have any problems at all, but I still want a bigger speaker, so that is why I want the CF3's. Any input is appreciated.
