  1. when I got my rc-25 it was making a humming noise when I turned the tv on (it sits on my tv) and I din't know a lot about speakers so I went back to the store and they replaced my unit, I got another one. It was doing the same thing so I called Klipsch and they said that my speaker was picking something from the t.v , pretty rare because my tv is not old, 1 year old. They said it was not dangerous for the speaker so it is still doing the noise but we can't hear it when we are not near the speaker.

I didn't listen to the RC-35, but I think the rc-25 sounds muffled a little bit, not as clear as my towers...when I think about it...but I guess it's normal ? How can I know if there is something wrong with the speaker or if it's made that way...?

  2. I used EZset, a special feature that harman kardon receivers have to calibrate the channels automaticaly...I don't know if it works well...

for the rc-25 I don't find the sound to be hollow...when the volume is correct, I find it perfect..

  3. Hi

When I listen movies, the voices (from my RC-25) doesn't seem as loud as the special effects, so I have to increase the volume for the voices but when there's a lot of effects, it's too loud so I put the volume down a bit, I do it back and forth..so maybe there's something wrong, or I forgot to do something...?

    thanks

  4. Hi

I dealt it at 650 US which is pretty good here in canada..it was 800 US.

I've got a question, is it better to set all the speakers to small (front and center) and have all the bass to the sub or set it to large for the front and have the front and the sub to reproduce bass...? I'm a little bit loss but I guess I have to play with it to find the best setting?

  5. Hi!

    Here's my question:

in the owner's manual of my receiver they mention that if I turn the volume know above 0db, I damage my equipement and hearing( I didn't try...too loud even at -20db...) but I'm wondering if that 0db correspond at 1/2 of the volume knob...because the HK receiver don't have a standard volume control that stop when you reach the max, you can turn it all the way and you see the number of decibel on the screen...it ranges from -79db at +15db..what do these numbers mean?

    ;)

  6. because money is an issue for me, I will go with the RW-12, much cheaper than the RSW models. The price in canada is 898$ + tax (15%) (around 720 US). I will try to deal the price, I bought already my towers and center at the same klipsch dealer, I hope he will lower a little bit. If not, I guess I will go somewhere else...;)

  7. Hello guys,

so finally I will get my sub tomorrow (RW-12)...;) I need to buy an interconnect cable to connect it to my receiver. With my receiver, I have got 2 options:

If a subwoofer is connected and you wish to have

the front left/right main speakers reproduce bass

frequencies at all times, and have the subwoofer

operate only when the AVR 230 is being used

with a digital source that contains a dedicated

Low-Frequency Effects, or LFE, soundtrack. Press

the / Buttonsoon the remote so that

LFE appears in the on-screen menu.

If a subwoofer is connected and you wish to use it

for bass reproduction in conjunction with the main

front left/right speakers, regardless of the type of

program source or Surround mode, press the /

Buttonsoon the remote so that SUB

LFE+L/R appears in the on-screen menu.

When this option is selected, a full-range signal

will be sent to the front left/right main speakers,

and the subwoofer will receive the bass frequencies

    under frequency selected, as described

below, as well as the LFE information.

So if I want to have the bass for listening music in 2 channel stereo and have the LFE in movies, I have to select the second option? I have to set the crossover of my RF-15 at 80khz?

    thanks!

  8. but I don't listen music very loud or movies....when I bought my amp, I didn't know much about it, I was just starting to post and ask question here, but the more I read, the more I wonder if I made a good choice, but I made theses choices with the money I had at that moment...so it's ok I think.

What's the difference with the AVR series and digital path receivers in HK? I might upgrade to this one day.

  10. hello guys....me again with my tons of questions!

So If I want to buy the RF-35 do I have to change my reciver (HK 230, 55 watts/channel) would it be enough to drive those speaker, right now they drive the RF-15.

THANKS as always for your precious help...you know i'm a poor girl lost in the world of Klipsch...;)
