  1. Hello, I was wondering who uses a mini fan to cool off their amp? As you can see in my photo, there is very little air circulating around the amp. I was going to put a small portable fan along the side to cool the amp off. Would this be a bad idea? Would this allow too much dust to be forced into the amp itself?? Or am I worrying too much. Thanks Ray
  2. How many people have no TV near or around their sound system? I am one! The nearest TV is 2 rooms away. 90% analog! It even bothers me to have a CD player in the same room.
  3. Hello listeners, I just purchased new/old preamp and tuner for my Forte II's. They are 1979 vintage Kenwood KA-907/KT-917. My old system was a Technics SU-V6. The system was set up on Sunday. I have not been able to fully assess the new system. Does anybody else have this preamp/tuner combo? The rest of my system includes: a J.A.Mitchell GyroDec w/ Mark Levinson Carnegie One phono cartridge, Bang & Olufsen RX2 turntable, Nakamichi RX-505, Nakamichi RX-202, Monster M1.2s Speaker Cables. If anyone has any suggestions on this setup, I would appreciate it. Thanks
  4. Hello, I bought my Forte II's new in 1992. I have been using Weiman's Lemon Oil with good results. After reading the posts, I am hearing that boiled linseed oil is the best thing to use. Can I put boiled linseed oil on top of all the years of lemon oil already on the speakers? Or should I just keep using the lemon oil? The speakers look good after the lemon oil treatment. Will that look better with the boiled linseed oil?? Thanks in advance
