  1. Hello there, Longtime reader, seldom poster. I am the owner of the RF 35 series, and the RW-12. Does anyone have any advice on keeping pictures and things from rattling on the wall when explosions happen? I was thinking of wrapping black electrical tape on the picture frame wire, but not sure if that would work. Thanks in advance.
  2. I have had the opposite experience. I bought my DLP in June 2005, went back and forth between my 5677, and the mits, had the mits because it was on a good sale, but ultimately returned it. We use our TV for atleast 3-6 hrs per day, whether it be for TIVO'd shows, or Netflix rentals, and have not had one problem. Anyone who knows me would know I would say this, but for new technology, this screams, EXTENDED WARRANTY.
  3. Actually I can speak on this. I started with the RF 25's and felt that things need a bit more bass, so I opted for the RF and RC 35's up front. I'm glad I did. I also felt that the RC 25 had to be turned up louder than the 35. I am satisfied.
  4. It's funny you say 30 day exchange policy. I am tinkering with the thought of exchanging my 25's for 35's. I most definitely will do it. Just keep your boxes. Here's the kicker: I got the system back around Thanksgiving. My salesman has been quite flexible. It's why I keep going back to UE.
  5. I guess I should have been more specific in my listening tastes. That in itself is ironic because I consider myself a bit of a novice, and probably dont really KNOW what I like. Anyway, I have my car setup for sound quality as opposed to SPL (BASS). I think it sounds pretty good, and can get loud to a point. I never thought about the space I am working with, in regards to car space, and living room space-slightly bigger. Also, didnt think of the vibrations, and car materials either. However I dont think this is the ultimate issue. Where can you get an HT tuner kit?
  6. Here is what I have in my car: Eclipse CD player Focal/JM Lab Polyglass components (front & rear) 12 inch JL Audio sub Eclipse 4 channel amp (85x4) JL mono block 250/1 I entered the home scene with a set of Promedia's. One of the very first ones. The V.2-400's. I just recently bought an HT system: Denon AVR 2105 RF 25's RC 25 RS 25's RW 12 I knew I wanted to get Klipsch because I knew I liked the promedia's. I'll say right now that I am not disappointed in my purchase. However, For those of you that own the RF 25's do you feel they lack midbass? Judging from the extensive range most of you have in your HT's, most of you would say just go with the RF 35 or R 5 or R 7's. I was stretching the budget getting the RF 25's. Not that I want to admit it, but I started with the package that had the 15's in it. Phew, I'm glad I didnt settle for those. I mean, I know I might be comparing apples to oranges, but playing the same music I have in my car, and in HT, I have considerably less midbass in HT. I am finding that I am having to compensate by tweaking the sub up higher, and setting the crossover lower. I knew that the main purpose for my HT was movies, and I really like it for that. But when listening to occasional music, I find I have to keep tweaking the sub, so the highs and mids dont sound bright. Anyone have any advice on how to get more midbass with my current configuration?
  7. I bought myself an HT for my birthday about a month ago. I know Ultimate Electronics is bashed on this board, but that's the closest, big selection of Klipsch speakers around. Here's what I got: Denon AVR 2105 RC 25 RF 25 RS 25 RW 12 Monster Power accessories and wiring I have a couple of questions. First off, I have found that in different mediums (TV, DVD, MUSIC), each form has different levels of bass. I am constantly having to adjust the volume for less bass in DVD, more for Music, and in the middle for TV. I called Ultimate, and the salesman didnt seem to think that my receiver had the option of controlling the volume from the receiver, much like a car stereo, controlling the sub output. Secondly, I have had the Promedia's for about 3 yrs now. I have loved the full sound that came with these. I agree that you have to "adjust" to the sound of Klipsch. I thought I had. I am finding that with the towers, they seem a bit bright. I dont feel that the towers have a lot of midbass. The x-over is set at 60 on the receiver. My ultimate question is, do you always have to tweak the settings depending on what you are watching, or do you just settle for a certain setting? Not that I want to exchange receivers, in the beginning I was going for a simple easy to understand receiver. This one isnt bad, but are there other "tweakable" ones?
  8. Ok guys, I have been relatively satisfied with the performance of my ancient promedia speakers for my computer. I have always wanted to get a home theater system, and might be getting one. Ultimate Electronics is offering a package: Denon 1705, RW 10, (2) RF 15, (2) RS 25 and 1 RC 25 for $1700. I have been very satisfied with the performance of the sub for the promedia. I was wondering how the promedia sub compared to the RW 10? Some initial differences I notice are in the wattages. Promedia offers 160 whereas RW offers 200. Promedia has 2 sidefiring 6.5's whereas RW has 1 front firing 10. I was thinking about the RW 12, but I think that is going to be out of my price range. Thanks in advance.
