  1. Okay guys, speakers are now sold. This receiver was purchased from CC a little over year ago. It's in good condition, I have the remote. I can't find HK box but I have a box from a Yamaha receiver I used to own so it should fit just fine. Price is $250 plus shipping from 29205.
  2. Yep, Frawley is a good guy. I was kinda worried about him the later part of last year but I think his Dr. finally got him straightened out. I hope he's around when I'm ready to buy my next system.
  3. I guess no one wants these? Will take $800 for the 54's. I'm unable to go any lower on the other speakers.
  4. Okay, I have one week to move these. I'm starting this thread to reflect the new prices before moving to Ebay if no one wants them in the next three days. 2 RVX-54 in black $850.00 and 1 RVX-42 in black $250.00 I have the original boxes, shipping from 29205. Speakers are in excellent condition purchased from authorized dealer in my area. 2 RS-25 in black $200.00 (some scratches on the mounting plate but you can't see when mounted) I will accept paypal (buyer pays fee) or US Postal money order. I will split UPS insured shipping to the lower 48. Thanks!

I'm unable to use my system right now and I refuse to put them in storage for the next year so I will offer them to you guys first. The backs are a little scratched from mounting them on the wall but no visible damage. $200 I have the original boxes, manuals etc... used in non-smoking home. Shipping from 29205.
  6. I've had the RVX-54's and RVX-42 for awhile now and really enjoy them. They're powered by an HK AVR230. I also have a 20-39 PC+ to fill the low end. I don't think I would like the speakers without a sub, just my opinion. I've listened to these and the RF-35's in my home and I like the sound of the RVX's better than the 35's. I'm actually thinking about picking up another pair to handle the rear channels since my dealer and I are close and he's giving me a really good deal.
  7. I purchased these from my local dealer. He's a one man shop and has been in the business for over 40 years. I've brought him around 18K in business from myself, friends and people I have referred so he takes care of me these days. I know that's not a ton of money but again, business is business. I purchased the 42 and it seemed really small but it sounds great. I'm moving next year into a bigger home and will purchase another set of 54's to handle surround duty, if he sells them to me cheap..ha ha
  8. Hey CT, I live about 10 minutes from Frawleys. If you would like to hear my system just let me know. I've delt with Mr. Frawley for awhile so I can go with you and maybe he'll give you a better deal just let me know.
  9. I second Frawley's!! My friends and I have bought many speakers from him.
  10. I currently have an HK 230 and they sound pretty good. I'll probably purchase a 2 channel amp in a few months because I enjoy listening to them in stereo mode along with my 20-39 PC Plus.
  11. I paid just under a grand for my 54's and was quoted 310 for the 42. I will probably pick up the 42 in a couple weeks and then sell my rs-25's to purchase RSX-5's.
  12. That's what I am wondering myself. I know Klipsch recommends the 42 for the center. My dealer doesn't have them setup so I am unable to compare.
  13. How does the 42 sound? I've had the 54's for almost two weeks and I'm impressed.
  14. I looked and my volume was turned all the way up on my PC. I also have an SACD player and it does sound awesome. I have my cd collection on my pc and since it's hooked up to my receiver it's just an easier way for people to find what they're looking for. My neighbors are home (live in duplex) so I'll have to wait until they're gone to see if the problem is fixed. Thanks!
  15. Well, I've had my RVX-54's for a little over a week now and they're great. I got an unbelievable deal from my local dealer. It was a big step up from my SF-2's. I plan on selling my SC-1 and SF-2's to buy the RVX-42. The only problem I'm facing is my receiver starts to clip at -25 when I listen to mp3's on my PC. I'm using an HK 230 and didn't have this problem before. This doesn't happen when I watch a movie...weird.
  16. Hi everyone. I need some opinions b/f I go crazy!!! Well, I started with pair of SF-2's and was at my local dealer to audition the reference line. I really like the sound of the RF-35's so my friend picked up a set. He had a couple set's of the RVX-54's in the back. I really like the way these look but was unable to audition them against the 35's. Since the RVX's are new I really haven't been able to find any opinions. He made me an unbelievable deal on the pair so I brought them home. I will say they're a step up from the SF-2's but it's killing me b/c I keep wondering would the 35's sound better? My friend doesn't want to bring his speakers over in fear of scratching them but for the money I could have the RF-35's and RC-35 for the price of the two RVX's. I'm sure the RF's would have a better base response but that's what my PC Plus is for. I plan on pickup up a nice 2 or 3 channel amp in 6-7 months and that may really wake these speakers up. I'm currently using an HK AVR230, SC-1 and SS1's. I guess I'm looking for someone to tell me to quit worrying and not to worry about my purchase..haha
