Thanks for that info. I consider myself "comfortable" with electronics but I haven't worked on amps before. Is it just a matter of soldering in a new one? More info you could link me to would be greatly appreciated.

Reading through the threads here I think my Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 Ultra setup has a dead amp. They have a squealing noise coming from the speakers when turned on that is constant and does not reduce in volume for no matter how long they are on and no matter what source is plugged in. Amp right? If that is the case, what are my options at this point? *hopes someone will reply*
