  1. Hey all, I have attached a layout of my room. I know not the best but it is what i have. Right now i have the Klipsch Quintet 3 setup with my PDP hanging on the wall. As you can see in the pic i am trying to figure out where to put the l/r. They will be hung on the wall. My first thought was to put them in the "b" location on either side of the pdp. That is where they are now and sound ok. My big problem is that i do not get much seperation. My only real other spot is in "a" location. However there is a difference in distance and show in the pic. What do you guys think? I have also shown where my rears and subs are.
  2. Thanks for posting. I tried calling Klipsch and asking them the same question and they could not tell me. It is really important beacuse i will be buying them sight unseen. So to understand you correctly. If i hung either the rsx-3 or 4 on the wall i will be able to turn it all the way to run level and parallel with the wall?
  3. Hey all, For my application i need to mount a speaker on the wall next to the PDP. However i need to turn it to almost run parellel with the wall. I bought the RSX-5 and then found out that the mounting does not let you turn it that much. Then i picked up the Quintent 3 package and those sats do allow you to turn them. My question is to any or all who have seen or do have the RSX-3 and 4, do they allow you to turn them once they are hung on the wall? I am assuming that since you can do it on the Q3 and cannot on the RSX-5 means it has to do with weight. Any feedback would be great.
  4. any chance you can get the l/r without the whole setup?
  5. So I finished putting up my plasma on the wall in the corner. I have some Klipsch RF 25s that i have to put away for now becasue my son likes to push them over. Since i have a RC-35 and 2 RS-25's i wanted to stay in the reference line. I picked up sight unseen 2 RSX-5. I had heard they were good and could be wall mounted. Let me tell you these things are huge. They are like 9 inches deep plus 3 inches for the wall mounting. This is were these pics below come in. As you can see my PDP is in the corner with both sides of it touching each wall. I was going to mount my center below the PDP on brackets. I have room on either side to put a wall mount L/R but a speaker sticking out 12 inches is going to look bad. So i need ideas, and no i cannot move the PDP! I was thinking of just breaking down and buying the Quintet III and use the small l/r and center. I know the center can be mounted. Then i thought of just getting the RSX-3's beacuse i think they are the same as the ones in the Quintet III only a little better. So fire away with the ideas. I really want to get this project finished!
  6. ugh, i am not sure that would look to good. maybe i will throw them up on ebay and get the rb-10
  7. is it possible to cut out a channel in the bracket to allow the ball to swing more to the left?
  8. I have looked around at some type of mount and cannot seem to find one. This thing does not have a key hole or screw in.
  9. ok so i had/have 2 RF 25s that my young son decided he wants to push over. Ok no problem i will put those away for a year or 2. I have a rc35 and rs 25s in the back with 2 subs. Here is my room. The 50 inch plasma is on a arm centered in a corner. The seating is directyl across from it. I thought to myself, get the RSX-5 and stay in the REF line. I know that they will be ok for a few years, not the best but i have to work with what i got. I got a great deal on a pair, took them home and guess what, it will not work. For those of you have not seen them, the base swivels around so you can mount them on the wall. Except they really only go up and down. imagine my setup in the corner. The left speaker has to almost run parallel with the wall, it does not even come close. I called Klipsch and they said there might be another mount out there but they did not know. What am i going to do! I know i could go rb-10 but then its more cash out. Please help with any ideas!
  10. Hey all, I was wondering and thoughts on the rb51. I have the rf25 now however i need to get some fronts that are off the floor. I like the rf25's, they have great sound and range (This is for movie watching). I might have to buy the rb51s without seeing or hearing them so your input is vital! Thanks
  11. would it be a huge mistake to go to rsx-5's for my mains? The problem is that the plasma is going to be in the corner hung on the wall. I think the rf25's will look funny just hanging out there on the floor.
  12. Hey guys. I have 2 RF25s as my l/r and RC35 as my center. Then i have RS25s as my surrounds. I did have a 57 inch rptv that i just sold. Now i am going to get either a plasma or lcd 50 inch tv. The problem is that my RF25's are a bit big now that the tv will be hung on the wall. The tv will be hung in a corner. I am trying to find something i could mount on the wall left and right. Something that is not going to sound funny next to everything else i have. The center will be on a shelf situated in the corner under the set. Any advice?? Thanks
  13. Well i bought two fans and a adjustable dc connection. One fan blows in the other blows out. they are 80mm fans that are sitting at the back of the cabinet. I will run some test tonight with the fans off and with them on to see if it makes a difference and let you guys know.
  14. Interesting, so changing from 6 to 4 should lower the amount of work it is doing so not as much heat. Very good tip, i will do that ASAP. By the way how do you like the 800 and onkyo as a whole?
