  1. Question for you all. My cabinet that holds everything is far from the tv. I am drillin 2 holes in the floor. 1 ehind the cabinet and one behind the tv. I will take all my video and audio cables under the floor. First question is that if i take my speaker wire (12 guage from Home depot) under the floor through the crawl space, do i need in wall wire? Second, is Home depot 12 guage good enough? Thanks
  2. I have a 57 inch tv that takes up most of the wall. I can put the left main about 3 feet from the tv. I could put the right about 2 feet or put it about 10-12 feet from the tv. The farther away might look better, but how will it affect HT? I have an onkyo 800 that i believe i can adjust the distance per speaker. Anyone try this? Thanks
  3. I know staying in one class is the "best" What i am really wondering is for HT am i going to notice a sound issue having a rc35 with two rf15? In the past i have had one brand name center with different mains and it sounds out of phase. Would i have that problem doing this?
  4. Hey guys, trying to really find out if anyone has matched a rc35 with a rf25 or rf15? I do have some space issues (have a new 57 RPTV) and I think the rf15 would look better, but not sure. I run a Onkyo 800 with 2 subs. I am not worried about picking up the low end, more tone match. Trying to buy today.
  5. Who, Thanks for the note!! My concern is the rc35 matching the rf15 not the rf25.
  6. Well it is a gray area. 1. We had bookshelves on stands before and she really did not like it. 2. She does not really want to spend any more than 1k 3. I really want a full setup (5 speakers) 4. I like the sound of the rc35 over the 25 so thats makes it a bit of an impass. will the 35 sound good with the 15 interms of tone match? Low end gets 2 subs. Just not sure but getting tierd of thinking about it.
  7. ok, So the "Wife factor" has set in and the rf25's might be out of reach. The crappy part is that i like them a bit more then the 15. I also like the fact that the rc35 and rf 25 use the same tweeter. I am thinking that maybe i should delay the whole purchase. I am affraid what the 35 center will sound like with the 15 mains
  8. Well now i am very confused. I took a listen to the 35 with the 15 and the 25 and it sounded good. Now, i am a huge believer that what sounds good in the store is differnet. I guess i am not wanting to "wait". I have had the mismatched systems for almost 10 years. I know the best is expensive so i want to land in the middle of the pack. People might say ok then go with the 25 all around, however, i like the sound out of the 35 center more. So i guess i am more confused now.
  9. well, i can see your point. all 25 or all 35 etc. I guess i look at it like this. Center channel is most important with 50 to 70% of audio out of them. Next are your mains then rears. I am not sure i would see much benifit in going 35 on the rears. I know there is no difference in the 25 vs 35 mains but the woofer size. I just don't know.
  10. Well all the Speakers will retail for about 1300. I was looking to talk the guy down to 1000
  11. so your concern would be matching the mid and high of the 35? That is what i am worried about. Not sure if it would be worth paying the xtra 200-250 for the 25's
  12. Will i notice a sound difference using the 15 and 25 for the rear though?
  13. ok here is what i am looking at: RC-35 RF-15 RS-25 I have 2 M&k subs so i am not worried about the low. It will all be running on a Onkyo 800. Budget is making it a bit hard to go to RS-35 and the RF-25. Will i be dissapointed in not going higher? Please Advise.
