  1. OK Tom...I guess we all have some issues. Maybe if I ask nicely someone could supply me with a few photos and measurements and hole locations of the internal components (K-77-F, K-55-X and K-33-E). I think this is all I need to finish the drawing. Please... Thank you, Jim
  2. Tom, Please don't misunderstand me. I am new to this forum and I am certainly not questioning the measurements Edward posted. In fact, if you have viewed the PDF file I posted, all measurments were based on the information that Edward and Formica provided. Their measurements laid out in CAD without any conflicting placement. What I am looking for is more detail on placement of the mid and high frequency horns with drill sizes and opening locations on the upper baffle as well as the attachment of the upper baffle/grille assembly to the upper cavity. Also, most products that have enjoyed long production runs such as the Belle's probably have had several upgrades or component changes. Stuff like that. I agree wood is a somewhat forgiving material and extreme accuracy is not always required however, when (if) there is accumulated tolerance errors the end product may not turn out as expected. Please forgive, if I have offended anyone. I am at times a bit of a perfectionist and forget that we are not living in a perfect world.
  3. Thank you Tom. It's good to be here. I have followed the posts you mentioned. The photos you posted were very helpful as was Formica's drawings. I have learned over many projects the old addage "MEasure twice, cut once" is always true. I have drawn many cabinet designs over the last ten years with careful precision just to avoid the horror of project reconstruction. Like many people that are into this hobby, most of the projects I have worked on are a labor of love. I really enjoy sharing with other speaker builders but, the thought of giving inaccurate dimensions... This is why I am looking for accurate data and measurements on the Belle's. I would like to build a set for myself and share the completed file with this board. I have seen many requests on several forum and board locations for information on the Belle's without many replies. As this is a hobby I have never sold any plans and never will. By the way, the posts mentioned a height differance of 1/8". I believe is because the metal glides were not included in the measurements. I have attached an updated PDF file. If anyone has some detailed information they would care to share it would be appreciated. Hole placement and drill info pertaining to the upper horn baffle would be great. Belle Klipsch1.pdf
  4. I have had an interest in the Belle Klipsch for several years however, some of the recent posts have given me a new incentive. If any of you would care to contribute some accurate detailed dimensions, I can finish the attached file. As a newbie on this site, I am impressed by many of the posts I have read over the last few days. The recent posts on the Belle construction is certainly one of the best I have seen in awhile. If it is of any interest, I have been involved in old Altec stuff for many years. So...If any of you would care to help with the "Belle" file generation please do. Scaling a photo is only so accurate. As a DIY kind of guy I think it would be great to build a pair of these classics. Jim Belle Klipsch.pdf
