  1. You were reading my mind. Thanks, I may need you if he doesn't pay up. In reference to your "5 watt amp" quote. You might enjoy this: I was priviliged to have spent some time with Paul Klipsch in his home. His "stereo" had and on-off switch and volume controls. That was it. Nothing else. He played a recording for me given to him by the North Texas State University Marching Band. It was "Stars and Stripes Forever" and featured a tuba instead of flutes and/or piccalos. It, and he were amazing. Years ago Rolling Stone did a long story about him. If you can find it it is well worth reading. Thanks Blake
  2. Carl: Thanks for the info. Yes, I do miss them and would love to get them back. But for now, I'll settle for the 'friend" paying for them. I think one of the reasons that they sell almost as well as Khorns is that they didn't require "free" corners. The Lascala was a better buy but deeper than the standard 18". Blake
  3. Budman: Thanks for the info. The "friend" is trying to tell me how little he owes me for the speakers, so your info will help. The finish is laquer so I'll go with KB-OL and we'll see what happens. I'll check out the ebay listing. Sometimes I find stuff there and others, well, it's a crap shoot. All things considered I'd rather have the speakers back. I loved them. Thanks again. Blake
  4. Years ago in another life I sold stereo equiptment and was a Klipsc Dealer. I boght a pair of Belles in Oak w/bamboo grilles (around 1985). Beautiful. Moved and had to leave them with a "friend" who sold them. I am trying to establish a value on them as well as find the model number. I think it was "KBO" something. Any help? Thanks
