  1. I just read an article that said Circuit City will be carrying Klipsch in the near future. Good for them ! Klipsch speakers now have completely slipped into mediocrity. I have no doubt the speakers will be of the same lines you see in Worst Buy.... the cheap made in China crap. Good thing, it's in time for Circuit to file chapter 11 or get bought out by Blockbuster.. One thought comes to mind though,... could Walmart be next on the horizon ? Man,... I'd love it. I could go down to Wally world and buy me my $99.00 dollar surround sound in a box,... right next to those imitation Levis they carry. [8-)]

  3. Best part of that center channel was the cabinet, other than that, it sounded like crap. It lacked bass or detail. I guess i would call it boxxy sounding. I had it for 2 or 3 years then traded it in. Thank God
  4. I have a set of KLF-30's as loaners, while a friend of mine moves into his new house. Sound quality, I feel they are some of the best speakers Klipsch has ever made. The build quality on the other hand, is some of the worst. So, with these as loaners, I've been bitten by the upgrade bug. It looks like the RF-83's are now Klipsch's top of the line. I was just wondering how they compare to the KLF's or Forte's? The shizity part is, I have to drive 70 miles to the closest retailer and they don't stock them or have any speakers to demo. I would have to order the RF-83's sound unheard.
  5. I need a new reciever and can't deside between the Hk and Denon. I like the video conversion on the Denon, but I think there wattage ratings maybe bogus. I can purchase the Denon for around 1k locally or the HK from OneCall for 750 or so. I need some opions on these two. They will be hooked up to 4.5's for fronts, CLF7 center, KG1 rears and a SVS sub. Thanks
  6. What do you think China is doing with all this western money.... helping their 3rd world poplulation out of poverty? Last time I checked China was about as free as Cuba. Its ok, in another 10 to 15 years we will be in another cold war. This time with China, funded completely by western buisness. I just hope the people of China like the little taste of capitalism they are getting and do somthing about it. Then we could credit Walmart in China with starting a free society. You cant blame Klipsch for this though, they are just a very small piece of the puzzel. Your a fool, if you cant see that almost every high to middle class paying job in this country cant be outsourced. Somebody somewhere can be trained to do it. The only thing safe are service jobs... you know, jobs like garbage collection. I
  7. If Klipsch wants to position themselves as another fast food retailer of AV goods thats fine. Wow, look how much they have changed if they perceive Bose as there bench mark for competition. I remember the days when Mac and Klipsch were like brothers. If you had one, you had the other. Far be it for me to think that Klipsch is Mac's equal or Krell for that matter. It's starting to look like that KLF C-7 might be the last speaker I can purchase from Klipsch. The Reference Series looks like great stuff. It's really to bad that I cant audition it. Tampa has no retail store carring the Reference or THX line. Wait...better yet, I can troll around Ebay. Maybe find something used. No doubt, Klipsch is making alot of money off the USED- Ebay stuff. Fear not, they will continue to advertise The Reference line an other mid-fi lines with out enought retail stores to support them. Dont feel sorry for me, because in the long run it hurts them more. Look at it from Klipsch's point. 1.We will pull out of most of our mid-to hi fi retail stores. 2.Sell our entry level speaker at the nations largest retailer. 3.Due to the increase in volume and sales this will generate we will need a larger manufacturing base....... 4.To increase production.. move all "lower end" product manufacturing to China. 5. This will cost us less and still maintain a high enough profit margin on the lower end products. 6. In the process we can expand our customer base to every trailer park in the country. O'...one more thing. On the topic of manufacturing in China. Yes, its true the speakers that are made here might sound the same as the ones imported from China. In some sort of patriotic way, I'd like to think that if I buy from an American company that employs American workers, I might place food on some Americans table. It looks like I've rock the boat enough here. Good luck Klipsch, with your fast food electronic ventures..
  8. Your missing the whole point. I'll say it louder. THE REFERENCE SERIES ARE NOT SOLD IN MY MARKET ON A WALK IN BASIS. The only thing availible in my area is the cheap crap. If Ford only sold the F150 in 5 states, but sold the Ranger in 50 states, would they loose money. Do you think they would make more money if they sold the F-150 in 50 states too.
  9. Im not talking about the Heritage line so get off it. Im talking about the bread and butter stuff thats in between. How can I buy this stuff? You know the Reference Line, THX line
  10. We all cant be a nation of Mgr's.... fact of life. Ten years from now, do you think those Quintets are going to be around. I dont think so. I might define that as cheap crap. Some brands have a loyal customer base unlike Infinty and a host of others. Klipsch is one of them. On there current path that customer base wont be there in 20 years, because the product wont support it.
  11. Send more jobs over to China. Like most people now days all they want is cheap electronics.
  12. Is it true that they are make some of their speakers in China now? I was really disappointed when they picked up Worst Buy and left Sound Advice here in Florida. They left no outlet here to purchase the higher-end products.I guess corporate greed gets to the best of them.... If its true, thats the last nail in their coffin for me... BTW, that new speaker line up (RVX series) makes me want to puke. They look like what Infinty did eight years ago and what Polk has been doing for the last 3 years. Great R&D people.
  13. My current system consists of Forte IIs' for fronts, CLF-7 center and 4.5s' for rears. I'm think of going with a dedicated "rear speaker", for a more open sound. Does anybody have a suggestion of what would be a nice rear speaker to match this system, or am I better off with the system I have.?New or old makes no difference , just as long as it blends with what I have. BTW this is my first post, go easy. Thanks
