Huge improvement over the KSW series. These are in a totally different league, much cleaner at higher volumes. The 12 actually sounds good in our demo room, which is a feat in and of itself.

Just an update...these arrived at the store I work at late tonight right as we closed. No time to play with them yet, but the new SLX's have arrived too. Very nice!!! We also got a bunch of new Athena products in that are designed for flat panel applications. The SLX's are MUCH nicer though

Heard a rumor that it might be late April for the new Synergy subs. Can this be confirmed yet?

True, looks like April will be the release date. Pioneer also is releasing a "5" series. The VSX-1014 THX Select reciever has been dropped to $399 right now also at BB. GREAT deal
