  1. It's a stereo 1/8" input. Should I be able to just connect the guitar to the speakers and play? Or are there some settings I should adjust in my speaker settings or Windows XP sound? As it stands, I plug it in and can't hear anything at all.
  2. Uh, what? I'm using a standard guitar cable with two 1/4" male inputs on the ends. One end is in my electric guitar, the other has an 1/8" adapter on it so it can fit into the auxillary port. I have no idea if it's mono or stereo...there's no labling of any sort on it.
  3. I've looked for this throughout the forums but I can't find an answer on it here or in the FAQ and manual. Can I use a 1/4"->1/8" adapter on my guitar and plug it into the auxillary port to get simple amplification? I've tried it with no results. Is there something I'm missing here, like changing settings in XP or new drivers/programs? Any help would be appreciated, because I have a SoundBlaster 5.1 Live! that has a faulty aux port (apparently all of them do). I'd hate to have these great speakers with no way to play my instrument through them. Thanks in advance, Mike
