Hello All, I am looking for advice on a sub for my system. Below is my current config. I am not looking to spend thousands but do want my moneys worth. As you can see my components are not the newest. I have exactly 0 experience with stand alone subwoofers. I replace my Pioneer HPM's with the below at the better half's request for space last year and really miss my base. I am planning on using the sub for a 70/30 mix of movies/music in a living room that is 16x25 with vaulted ceilings. I believe that I will need at least a 12" sub to fill the room. The most important thing is the clarity, I have listen to a few different subs; Bose, JBL, Athena and was not really impressed. I am planning to spend 500 or less, so I have been looking at older models of what I perceive to be higher end manufactures ( B&W ASW%, Klipsch KSW%, M&K V% ) on the web ( audiogon.com, ebay.com ) Thx Mike Power /Yamaha R-V902 Center /Klipsch KV2 Front /Klipsch KG2.2 Rear /Klipsch KG2.2
