The only reason I say "stuck" is because the synergy line is the only line I get a discount on. In lots of the treads people recommend the reference line which isn't an option. Thanks for all your input! Anyone have any advise on the surrounds, I could save $100 by going to the S1s instead of the S2s. Should I save the money or just keep everything matched the 2 level?

I agree, when the time comes I will add a sub, but due to thin walls and picky neighbors on both sides, I will have to deal without one for now. Outside of the sub issue, any other opinions?

I am trying to get a budget HT system for my condo. I was originally drawn to the Quintet II, but I think I will outgrow them as soon as I get a house. I am stuck with the Synergy line (I work at a certain box store), and I am thinking of a pair of B2s, a pair of S2s and a C2 for the center. No sub for now as my budget is getting maxed and with neighbors on both sides, I couldnt really use it. So here are my questions; Is that a good setup? I might downgrade to the S1s, would that be a mistake? Also what receiver would be a good match? I am limited to a Yamaha 5740 or 5750 or a Pioneer 814. A Pioneer 1014 might be an option, but incase you havent noticed, I am on a budget Thanks! PS, I would also ask to comepair these speakers to Athenas and JBLs, but I think I might get a biased response
