  1. Yes craig is right, I am very proud of buying everything myself. I have recently taken the easy way out and bought a shanling int amp. Got a killer deal on it w/ warranty so...hell if I don't like it ill just sell it, for a profit mind you, just such a good deal I couldn't turn it down, because I would always wonder if it would of sounded good. If I deside I do not like it I think I am going to go with a dynaco stereo 70 and merlin. I bet that will sound better, but it doesn't have a remote and I am lazy. The sad part is one of the big reasons i bought the shanling is that it had a remote, I know , I'm young no need to be lazy but....like I said I can make profit on it so what the hell.

  2. "I don't get it. If Craig uses capitalist means to improve his lot in life how does that become unbecoming? You generally promote taking advantage of capitalism to better one's own life. Why is Craig doing it make him an "unethical parasite"? Or Dean? Or Al? Or anyone else? If they learn and promote products on the Klipsch forum which increases the enjoyment others have of Klipsch products, they are, by default, doing Klipsch a service and their fellow forum members as well. Great line by the way. "Unethical parasite". Damn that was funny. I will be certain to use it in a situation I deem more appropriate PS. It isn't like Craig is becoming rich and has an abundance of disposable income to spend on grammar or spelling lessons. Sorry, Craig. Couldn't resist."

But craig isn't a capitalist, he disowned me because I purchased a product made in china, not only is that racist but is totaly not capitalistic!!!

  3. Well I took some new shot, my rack is almost empty, I am waiting for my shanling stp-80 to arrive so that will fill up some space. I love my system, and I hope you will enjoy looking at it. Please bear with the shape of my room, as we moved not to long ago and my room is yet to be painted.

I would also like to add that everything in my system was bought by myself, with money I earned

  4. Help us out. Give more details about what you have in mind...

What kind of bass do you want to test?

    Orchestra concert bass?

    Church organ pedal bass?

    Upright bass?

    Electric 4 string bass?

Electric 5 and 6 string bass?

    Synthesizer bass?

    Rap boom boom bass?

Homemade test bass with an audio frequency ocillator?

Home theater one note rumble boom bass?

What is the purpose of this test?

    Check neighbor's tolerance?

    Test local police response?

    Drive rodents out of attic?

See the highest volume before the walls and furniture start shaking?

Provide an excuse to damage and upgrade woofers?

    I'm half serious...

    Paul

Well I was kinda unclear, sorry. I was thinking stong bass in the lower 50hz. I am putting a Cd together to test diy sub's and so forth. I would like music and not test tones, anything with solid clean bass throughout. NO RAP!

The purpose, again to test subs, but also to piss off the parents my shaking the whole house, and saying bye to the rodents wouldn't be too bad either, although I don't think we have any.

    "Test Local police response?"

Omg i almost died when I read that, thanks so much!

  5. My advice is to send it to a pro (nosvalves) to have it gone over and

have it electical restored. Craig offers a great service and he stands

behind his work. Head over to his web site to contact him.

    www.nosvalves.com

    You won't be disapointed

  6. This is a great looking unit, it somewhat helps the sound of the

system. It is more for protecting the system from voltage spikes and

    power suges.

    Pictures to come soon.

I have the original box, I paid $500 + tax for this unit, I will sell it for $200 + shipping for quick sale

    Thanks

    James
