  1. So Klipsch hasn't changed the design? The RF-7's shipping now have the same grills as the early RF-7's? N
  2. I've read that people were having problems with the RF-7 grill pegs. Has Klipsch changed the design? Do the RF-7's shipping now have the same problem as the early versions of the RF-7? Thanks, N
  3. It was a special sale for "Good Guys family and friends". I don't know if it was a one time deal or not. N
  4. Everything in the store was cost + 10%, amazing deals not only on speakers but also on receivers, Parasound separates, DVD players, plasmas, etc. N
  5. Last Saturday Good Guys had a family and friends sale from 10am - 1pm and I ordered the RF-7's for $590 each + tax and the RC-7 for $429 + tax. N
  6. Some Sony ES stuff is far from being crap. In fact, Sony made a classic receiver, the DA777ES, which is regarded by many as one of the best receivers ever made. Their 9000ES separates - the TA-E9000ES preamp and the TA-N9000ES - were pretty good too, especially for the price. Not to mention their ES SACD players - great sounding machines. Speaking of Krell, I wouldn't recommend pairing Krell gear with Klipsch speakers - Krell is very forward and bright. N
  7. Yesterday I got a killer deal on a pair of brand new black RF-7's - $590 each + tax - and an RC-7 - $429 + tax. The dealer ordered them from Klipsch and I should get them in 1-2 weeks. The Klipsch's will replace two B&W 604 S3 mains and a B&W LCR600 center. I have a 7.1 system with an Integra Research RDC-7.1 preamp and two Sony TA-N9000ES amps ( 5 x 115 watts), one amp for the mains and center the other for the surrounds. Has anyone heard the RF-7's with an Integra Research preamp? The dealer had the RF-7's driven by a Denon 5803 receiver and the speakers sounded a little harsh. I wonder if anyone has any idea how the RF-7's and the RC-7 would sound in my system. Thanks, N
  8. Thank you all for your help, I'll try to keep them in the box, if they won't fit I'll rent a van. N
  9. Thanks guys, does anyone still have the RF-7 boxes and give me the dimensions? N
  10. The dealer is 6 miles from where I live so I plan on making two trips, pick up one speaker and then the other one. I have a 99 Corolla, maybe I could fit a boxed RF-7 in the backseat? N
  11. Bill, Thanks for the info but I would really like to know the actual box dimensions... N
  12. I've ordered the RF-7's from a local dealer who didn't have them in stock and had to order the speakers from Klipsch. Delivery would cost $50 but I might be able to save $ if I pick them up myself - provided that they fit in my car. Does anyone know the RF-7 box dimensions? TIA, N
  13. Thanks for your replies. There are several Good Guys stores in the Los Angeles/Orange County area, the $1700 and $600 prices you got from the Vegas Good Guys is pretty close to the quote I got from the Orange County dealer. $1350 for the RC-7's in the Washington area is a great price, has anyone in LA/OC been able to get the RC-7's that cheap? N
  14. Hi, I would like to upgrade my speakers from the B&W 604 S3 and LCR600 to the Klipsch RF-7's and RC-7. The best price I could get from a Klipsch dealer from Orange County was $1800 for the RF-7 pair and $600 for the RC-7, prices include tax. Does anyone know of a better deal in the LA/OC area? Thanks, Nicu
