  1. Hi, I have an old set of Klipsch Promedia 5.1 speakers from ca. 2000 or thereabouts. A lot of people had problems with the power supplies on those units (contained in the subwoofer box), including me. This power supply essentially burned out. I tried to get it fied with a reuptable person over the internet to no avail. Instead, I want to see how feasible it would be to hook my own power supply into the speaker system. But to do so, I need to know the voltages across all the terminals running from the power supply to all of the boards within the subwoofer container. I've attached some photos of the power suplly board. Does anyone know offhand what voltages apply to which leads leading from the power supply board? A while back, there were some threads on here from people who knew how to fix these things. I was wondering if there were other such people around still, and if they might know. Just a try. First photo: J503 - (completely visuble only in second picture) J504 - J505 - J506 - J513 - which is a plug having five leads. I have labeled the prongs on the power supply board for this plug from left to right as follows (see second photo where I have labeled them with text): J513 - 1 - J513 - 2 - J513 - 3 - J513 - 4 - J513 - 5 -
  2. Hi, I have a set of Klipsch computer speakers, Dolby 5.1 that I like very much. Think that it is the Promedia 5.1: http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=372 The sound controls are on a separate small box (seen in picture) that connect to the subwoofer / amp by a cable that looks a lot like a serial cable or Keyboard connection cable for a computer. Is there a remote control system that can be plugged into this port? Seems like it would be an easy accessory, but I don't find it on the web site. Grmph. Any suggestions for obtaining remote control for this system?
