I love you.

Well,
upon reflection, it isn't that funny really. I was done eating my Moo
Shu Chicken and opened up my fortune and it fell right into my plum
sauce! I didn't know if it was worth reading but because my fingers
were already messy I got it out. It read "SOMETHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN
SOON" Soon is right because immediately the phone rang but I didn't
answer because I didn't want to get plum sauce on it. My girlfriend
started to leave a message and was real excited so I picked up anyway
and she goes "Remember the $200 I owe you? I don't have it exactly in
cash but I have something that I know you'll love instead." She
couldn't bring them over because they were too heavy and that really
got me wondering!
So I hopped into my car and went to her
apartment and she "Come in" and I went in and she was sitting on these
two speakers right in front of the door. They had been her
ex-boyfriend's speakers who didn't live with her but he had owed her
money when they broke up he got her to agree to call it even with the
speakers for what he owed her. I think he had got them from his dad
anyways so it was free for him.
So I laughed at Beth and sat on
one speaker beside her and told her they weren't very comfortable
chairs. We looked them up on eBay under Klipsch (took awhile to get the
spelling right) found they were Heresies and worth about $400 but
plenty of marks so Beth goes let's make it even and that she had just
been paid off with them and it was perfect to pay me off with them. I
told her about the fortune cookie and we laughed. I'll tell the rest of
the story if you want tomorrow.

OK, so are there two horns inside a Heresy, or three? Or is that the wrong word? Does a horn need a driver. Do regular round speakers need drivers or are they drivers, the whole round thing?

maxg said "First off Julie - I know exactly what you are experiencing with the Heresy - I went through it too about 5 years ago. I was out with a friend who was trying to find speakers for his girlfriend of the time."
Well it wasn't me

Thanks, Cal Blacksmith. There are no labels on mine but there is a little part of what probably was a label on one of them. I think I must have Heresy I models, or H-700 if they had screws in back.
There is no bass thinness on mine, that's for certain!

OK, how do I know if mine are Heresy I or II?

Thanks soooooooo much, guys! I was afraid signing up here was going to wind up making me poorer!
Okay, so the midrange and squawker are the same thing? What is a driver? Is it more or less important than the midrange or squawker?
Gotta get ready.

OK. Where to start? I have had some like large bookshelf speakers. I can't really find a manufacturer on them. They came from a girlfriend who went all computer speakers in 2000. Now I have Heresy speakers. It is pretty funny how I got them but I don't have time right now for all that!
Anyways I LOVE MY HERESY SPEAKERS! I have had them for just two weeks and thought I would find out about them. They are the best speakers I have ever heard.
I guess the first question I have is how do they compare to other Klipsch speakers? I can't imagine how they could be any better but I see there are Klipsch speakers that sell for more.

Hi. Is this where to post about my Heresy speakers or should I be in "general" or "technical"?
Thank you,
J
