I was wondering how far (ideally) they should be apart?? On this site some people say 45deg toe in some other less. How horns are supposed to react parralel vs 45 angled. Thanks for sharing those experiences. JF

My "listening habits" are 60% jazz, 25% Rock (70-80's),leftover is world music. The first thing that I look in music is spatial preciseness, transparence and musicality. No need for huge boom boom,... I do have tube monoblocs (60W) that would power those CW. Sometimes I use records but most of the time I use CD'S. The room is 14X20ft and ceiling is 12ft. Dear Forum I can tell you that most of the time I am looking for an equilibrium between musicality and analytical but there is something on which I will not sacrifice: it is transparency. I know that Klipsch are renowned for being pretty "couloured". Which of the newer design XO would be a smart choice? I know that there are a few offered by members of this forum,... and I dont want to start a fight!!! I also know that some members think that modifying mr. Klipsch design is a sin,... I want better speakers!!! I am a bit "insecure" and really dont know what to expect from my CW after changing the XO and a few mods with rope caulk. What I expect is realism at a bigger stage with my 60W Tube monoblocs. Thanks to you all for your great advises. Regards JF

Dear forum , I have just inhereted my uncles 1977CW's that are dead mint. He was the person that introduced me to HiFi many years ago. I do have a very reveiling system myself (Classé Audio and Totem speakers and the room to appreciate it). I just want another kind of system: So I bought this pair of 60w monobloc amps that I will use with my CW with a turntable: THE QUESTION IS: I think that upgrading the XO will unleash lots of potential. A speaker desinger told me that oil caps were better than polypro?? What I read on this forum seems different,... If I understand well the two are available through members of this forum. I do have budget constraints but want the best bang for my buck,..I believe I am a real audiophile and I make mastering for records as my job,... Need advises pls. Regards JF
