So my friends and I landed this killer suite next year and we are
looking for a killer system for the killer suite. I already have
the ProMedia 5.1 for my own personal room, but the common room is going
to need something. Some points to consider...
1. The room is about 15' x 15'.
2. The setup needs to be able to accomodate a CD player, a TV (possibly an LCD projector as said TV), and an X-Box.
3. There are 4 of us total in the suite, and I only can really
expect to have about $500 for the whole sound system. (I already
have the X-Box and projector/TV).
4. Ideally we would want a 5.1 system, but if there is an
economic and performance-wise comparable solution, that would be
acceptable too.
Thems the requirements... I guess.
In my spare time I have been doing a bit of research and a lot of the
prepackaged systems (like the ones you can buy at Best Buy etc...) seem
okay, but I just want a little more bang... and if possible more bang
for my buck too. Correct me if I am wrong, but I am guessing the
minimum I would need in components would be a CD player, an amp, a
subwoofer, and some speakers.
So you wise gurus of the Klipsch forum what do you suggest?
PS - The system doesnt neccessarily have to be Klipsch, because the
quality and price may not be quite what is appropriate for a common
room in which parties will be held, I just recognize your superior
intelligence, virility, and audiophonic prowess, etc. Thanks
again.
