  1. Up for sale is a virtually mint Yamaha A-S701 100 watt per channel stereo integrated amplifier in black. Old school looks with modern features. Coax and optical digital inputs, subwoofer out, nice remote and detachable power cord. It sports a respectable MM phone stage, dedicated CD analog input with CD Direct features that bypasses tone controls. It also has Pure Direct mode which does the same for the other inputs. You can hook up two pairs of speakers or bi-wire. There are four additional analog inputs. One nice feature is the adjustable Loudness control with Bass, Treble and Balance controls to taylor the sound if you so choose. It sounds great and works flawlessly. I have the factory box, remote and power cord. Manual can be found online. I will pack it very well. Asking $450 plus shipping and insurance. Figure 40lbs from Redding, CA 96002. Thank you! I will try to post pictures soon.
  2. No, I have not gone into a primordial funk or lost my way beyond reason. I need, OK want, a camper shell for my pickup. The wife is encouraging me to sell some gear to fund this quest. I decided I can’t part with the Kenny’ but the early Marantz 1060, restored w/original case, might be expendable. However, it won’t be cheap and neither is the camper shell I want.
  3. This beautiful Kenny’ is no longer available. Although, my restored Marantz 1060 maybe available soon?
  4. Parts picture wouldn’t load, sorry. Here’s a side panel.
  5. I’m offering my fully and professionally restored Kenwood KR-9400 “Monster” Receiver. Rated at 120 watts per channel it is a beast and sounds awesome! All electrolytic caps and other critical components were replaced with quality parts. Old parts will be included. Lamps were replaced with LED’s, side panels are laminate wood flooring planks, cut to fit, that look beautiful and are virtually indestructible. Cosmetically it is near mint. Local pickup in Redding, California is strongly encouraged. I will be in the Sacramento area on August 23rd. I will ship but the buyer will be responsible for professional packing, insurance etc. I’m thinking 50lbs. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask, thank you. I’m asking $600.
  6. TTT, I will take $400 via PayPal F&F including shipping. Thanks
  7. This is a great amp. I am open to reasonable offers.
  8. I have a very nice and restored Sansui AU-5500 integrated amp. The work was done by a local tech that does excellent work. All electrolytics were replaced with Nichicon and Wima caps. Many other suspect components were replaced. I will include the old parts. It has had the thermal grease replaced on the output transistors. Thoroughly cleaned inside and out and all pots and switches got the Deoxit gig. Excellent condition cosmetically with just a couple scratches on the top. It still has most of the original RCA covers and original owners manual. A couple of nice features are two Aux inputs and has pre outs/main ins with the flip of a switch. It sounds great and works flawlessly. Sounds great with the Cornwall II’s. I just have too much stuff. I would like $425 for it and will split professional packing, shipping and insurance. Thank you!
  9. The dust is starting to settle, just not the smoke, and things are getting back to “normal.” I am making the C II’s available again. Please shoot me a PM if interested, thanks!
  10. Thank you to all that have shown interest, I appreciate it. I have decided to keep them, at least for now. Too much going on here that need my attention so one less distraction is a good thing. Hell, down the road I may end up giving them to a good friend who lost everything to the Carr fire. Belle’s, BIG Martin Logan’s, two pair of restored Dahlquist DQ-10’s and one matching sub, two REL subs, KEF 104, and 107’s, all his vinyl, turntables....... Nearly 130,000 acres, over 1000 homes lost, my home town will recover but it won’t be the same! Nope, don’t need any distractions!
  11. My Cornwall II’s are made of plywood so, at least in this case, Groomlake is correct as usual.
  12. Just a quick update. The fire is not threatening the area where I live. I do have friends and family that are still evacuated. Our local Police Chief, who I’ve known for 30 years, has sadly lost his home. A local fireman, contract bulldozer operator along with an elderly lady and her two young great-grandchildren tragically lost their lives. It’s at around 90,000 acres with little to no “containment” which is a term the fire service uses very conservatively. They do, however, have lots of resources here now to keep an eye on containment lines and knock down hot spots that pop up. I am very greatful for the concern positive thoughts. This my home town which I served as a Deputy Sheriff for over 30 years. I am well aware of what the brave men and women of the fire fighting service and law enforcement who have risked their lives to save others are up against. My hats off to them along with thoughts and prayers!
  13. Putting this on hold due to the disastrous fire in our area. A prayer for my home town would be appreciated!
