Thanks for the welcome everyone! I've spent some hours with the forte IIs last night. Another cool quality of these speakers is the imaging. They present a very wide soundstage. Slightly toe'd-in seems to work best in my setup. The Toshiba is an excellent player. Eventually, I'll upgrade (as we all do) but for now, it beats out my other CD players.

I just want to say hi to all the klipsch members. I'm a new member here and I just recently purchased an excellent-condition pair of Forte IIs. I have to say, I'm quite impressed. I'm powering it with an Onkyo Grand Integra M508 and Dodd ELP tube preamp. My source is a Toshiba SD-9200 DVD player and I'm using Cobolt Ultimate Speaker Cable. The highs are very smooth; smoother than I was anticipating and the bass is very tight. These are my first pair of Klipsch and I'm really looking forward to "getting to know" these speakers. By the way, this is a great forum. Grady
