  1. So I just picked up my RSW 12 and I am feeling really lost. The instructions on this thing are horrible and I am by no means an expert on subs like I thought I was. What should I set my sub to as far as polarity, LFE and Low Pass? Also, is it recommended to keep it on auto-on? I feel like my sub is not hitting as hard as it should and I also worry that the sub does not turn on while playing video games or listening to the radio or CD's? Not sure what the deal is here. Any feedback/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike
  2. I have tried searching, however, I never get any results so I am sorry if this has been discused and I missed it. I am trying to run all my wire before the drywall goes up for my semi HT. I say semi because this is just something to tie me over until I finish the basement. Now, here is my question. I need to run roughly 25 feet of cable for my sub since it is going to sit in the back of the room. Monster cable is very expensive as most of you know. When I went to Circuit City today I came across PUREAV Subwoofer audio cable. It was only 30 bucks for 25 feet. I need 24 feet 6 inches for my current setup. Monster comes in 24 feet, which would require me to join cables. I have heard that joining cables is not a good idea and wanted to know if anybody was against PURE AV. Once the drywall goes up I will not be able to change this so I would like to get this right the first time. Thanks for any feedback!
  3. Okay, here is what I found out today in negotiating. I can get the RSW 12 for $1000 and the RSW 10" for $650! Both new. I finally heard the 12 and see no other option. Now, is a 1000 bucks a good deal? I think I may be able to talk them down a tad more, but do not know what to shoot for. I was really excited about the RSW 10 price, which figures because I no longer want that one. You guys have been a huge help!
  4. I did look at those, however, the display at BB is horrible and the reviews I read were only fair. I have to stop reading these forums Now I am considering the 12" because the room dimensions are pretty decent size with 9" first floor. Thanks for the feedback thus far. Keep it coming!
  5. Mike, thanks for the post. Sounds like it is hit or miss. Your review makes it sound like you were happy with it for music, but maybe not for movies? Now I am questioning if I should just buy HSU or something else seeing how the RSW 10 is not cheap? Oh the pain Thanks again!
  6. I currently have RF 3 II floor speakers, a RC35 center, R5650C rear center and will be running a Denon 1906 or 2106 receiver. I wanted to keep brand loyal and was first thinking about the RW 10 sub. After reading a lot of reviews I have learned that it is either not a very good choice in some opinons and does not play with music very well. I am primarly looking for a HT setup that will have very solid bass and can get the RSW 10 for around 750. I can't justify spending a 1000 bucks on a sub considering I am currently building a house and this is just to tie me over until I can justify the cost of a true HT in the basement. I tried looking for feedback by searching and saw that most people are running the 15" or 12". A little too pricey for me. I would appreciate any pro's/cons with this sub and would like to try and buy it tomorrow if I get good feedback. Thanks for your time!
