  1. Thank you to all who replied. I will be upgrading from a standard to a HD set top box in the next several days. I got a little pissed off with the store that sold me my package, and said to them that they should off mentioned to me, from the start, that I would encounter this problem. Let's hope that it rectifies the issue.
  2. Happy New Year World! With my recently acquired 50" Fujitsu Plasma, I have had an irritating image problem while watching fast moving sport. The image seems to look pixelated at very quick instances while there is fast moving action. I have a Strong SRT 5006 set top box (not HD) hooked onto the plasma, with my a/v receiver. The installers have given me all the latest cables to complement so I can get the best picture. I have called them back telling them that I have this little problem, and they tell me the only way to rectify this slight but irritable image problem is to upgrade to a HD set top box. Is this correct what they suggested or is there another fix to this problem?
  3. OK world, the day has arrived. I have finally received my HT package and it has left me with my mouth wide open. The quality off sound from this system is remarkable at absolutely cinema like. As to the DVD's of The Eagels - When Hell Freezes Over, and the 2nd scene from Saving Private Ryan, it has sent the dog back into her kennel..............heheheheheh. The only slight hiccup is the waiting for my Yammy 2600, it's still being shipped, so my supplier has loaned me a Rotel RSX 1056, and it still sounds bloody fantastic. Can't wait for the Yammy, it's like going out with a chick for the first time..................I just can't wait. As soon as I receive the Yammy, I will post a picture of my setup to let the world see. One other questions, if anyone can answer, can anyone recommend any 'shit hot' dvd's (music or movies) that will sound awesome? Does anyone have a link to any great sites that share this type of information? Cheers, GPB.
  4. Yeah colter that was definetly a typo.[:$] I am running the RS 35's for surround. Thanks again everyone, you have made me feel very comfortable on this forum, and now all i'm waiting for is my HT system to arrive, and will tell you all how it punches.
  5. Spot on with Trademark on the cerematallic material there colter. I'm holding a Klipsch brochure and they have a TM next to the word.
  6. Why the RC's? I thought I had to buy that piece as well, as per the 'Klipsch Reference Series' brochure. I automatically assumed you required that piece to give you the total 'sound' package. Why do you ask colter?
  7. G'day Edwin, oh, know I understand what you mean about the source! At the moment I have just a cheap LG DVD/VHS Combo, a Humax IRCI 5400Z, Foxtel Receiver (pay TV in Aus.), and at times my Benq A32 laptop. I'll be upgrading in the near future to a Yamaha DVD player. Are there any Yamaha DVD players ( or any other you might recommend) that also record, keeping in mind that I'm in Aus. and we might not have your latest components here.
  8. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Edwin, my room is small measuring 4mX6m. I don't understand what you mean about 'source'. Are you referring to some sort of amp? I fogot to mention to all of you I'm just an amatuer, but I can spot a good brand of speakers.[]
  9. G'day all, I'm from Melbourne, Australia, and have just purchased my first Home Theatre setup. I have spent many hours on the net researching and made up my mind and purchased the following items; RF 25 floorstands RC 35 surrounds RW 12 sub RC 35 centre and complementing these speakers is the Yamaha RXV 2600 and the Fujitsu Plasma P50XHA40US. Listening to the speakers at the hi fi store, they were very impressive.........and powerful! I was wondering how all of you would review my speaker setup and or the whole package. I can't wait when they arrive.[]
