can anyone help me out? thanks

well basically my 4.1 sub was acting up (buzzing rumbing etc) so i put it in teh garage but now i want to get it hooked up to my LCD projector but its worse now, it doesnt bass at all, when there is bass it sounds like its coming from earbuds, soudns very very horrible and doesnt do anythign but im using it so i can use my other 4 speakers, so i guess my question is, is there a way to fix this? id love to replace resistors or work on it, (DIY is my specialty) so if u know or can link me to awesome threads i would be very appriciative. thanks! ill link up a sound file of what it soudns like in a bit. thanks agin@!
