  1. I'm not sure what you are talking about 160 not cutting it, but I think I might be able to send you creative dac. I don't know if it works with out an sblive though. This is easily has the most recording options I've ever seen. E-mail me if your interested
  2. But still if you look at 3dsoundsurge the crossfires play louder with 100 watts. I think Klipsch could really deliver a killer system, but they don't want to out do their quintets. As for the amp, I've read it has an insane amount of power. It outputs 400 watts at full volume, but handles 600. The reason they aren't that loud is because of their efficiency. If they put higher quality drivers they would be more expensive but sound a lot better.
  3. How long is the warranty on these, I've had them since the Nov. after they came out.
  4. I think that Klipsch has fooled us all by saying the amp puts out 400 watts rms. This is true, but I think the sats are handling much less when they start to distort. Either that or they are very inefficient. No complates though, all I care is that they play loud enough to shake the house.
  5. I have the same problem and no answered my question. I opened it up since my warranty was already up, and I know what's vibrating. I'm not sure how to fix it. On mine the back of the sub is what vibrates, and some times the big piece of metal just hanging over the amp (I'm not sure why it's there). Can someone from technical support help me?
  6. BASH - Bridged Amplifier/ Switching Hybrid the amp is bridged to allow it to get enough power to put 400 watts on the specifications. The switching hybrid says that the amp switches based on how much power it is using compared to how much it needs, to save power. I think the 2.1 doesn't have this because it doesn't need to be bridged since it has half the power.
  7. I don't know if you know this but if you double the power of a speaker, you usually only get 3 db increase. So if the crossfires had exactly the same sensitivity as the pros, the pros would only be 6 db louder.
