Thanks for the advice Larry. The last in a series of bangs since I purchased the IFI a week ago appears to have killed one of the speakers. I've boxed it up and am ready to head back to Circuit City at Union Sq, NY, as soon as the snow ploughs have cleared a path thru the drifts.

loud humming followed by speaker shreading bang. sound then dies.[]. Anyone out there know what might bew causing this?
