Hello fellow KlipschHeads!
This is my first post, so an intro, and a little about me first, and then my question. My name is Wade Anderson. I am new to the Klipsch forum, but far from new to Klipsch speakers. I bought my first Klipsch speakers in 1974, new Cornwall's BR. [] I finished them myself and loved them for many years. About 3-4 years ago I sold them to Mitja Borko in Slovenia. [] Some of you may remember him from the extensive technical Klipsch Cornwall report he wrote several years ago for the Belgian AudiophileSchool. (still on the internet) I then immediately replaced them with a beautiful set of 1976 Cornwall's WO. []
Anyway, I recently purchased a beautiful set of 1995 KHorns OO. [] I've dreamed of owning a set of KHorns since I was 10 years old (42 years ago). I am in the middle of building false corners for them right now, which I will share details & pics on the forum later when I'm done.
Here's my question:
Does anyone have any experience with upgrading the K-33 woofer in the KHorn to a K-45 or K-48?
I have recently aquired 2 brand new K-48's, which are actually JBL 2226H's, but haven't installed them yet. I believe these are the woofers they use in the pro-jubilee's ?
Does anybody know how much of an improvement these will be over the standard K-33's?
Thanks
