Yes, I was running a home theater off the Promedia 5.1's with the small Klipsch decoder box. I figured it was time to get rid of that and just wanted some suggestions on a good receiver/5.1 or 6.1, definitely with Klipsch speakers. I would prefer satellites because I have mounts for those already. Id rather get new, but would be against used. Thanks!

I need to setup my audio system now and have $1000-$2000 to spend. I don't think I need anything too powerful because I still live in an apartment, but I still want something nice. I have everything but a receiver and speakers. I'd welcome any suggestions on where to purchace (online). Thanks !!!

Thank you Donald, you were extreamly helpful! I love my Klipsch speakers, but I don't want to take the cheap route. I am going to reconsider what I need for my audio system. I don't need something crazy powerful because I live in an apartment, I guess I could spend $1000-$2000 and need a receiver and speakers then.

I am trying without sucess to get my sub working with the DENON AVR-1706. I have the pro media 5.1 speakers all hooked up directly to the 1706 and the sub-out on the 1706 going into the center/sub jack of the sub via a rca to headphone cable with only the sub rca connected. All I hear is a hum from the sub, and setting the 1706 on sub setting NORM. When I switch to Main+ setting a get very bad, muffled noises. So I guess my question is can I get the 5.1's sub working with this receiver?
