I had a Ford Bronco when I was in college. I was driving on campus while class was letting out with people walking everywhere.
My accellerator got stuck under the floor mat and floored the engine. I stood on the brake but it was not enough to stop the truck. I put it in neutral, the engine reved like crazy and I turned it off. Needless to say, the spinning back tires, the crazy engine sounds etc, created quite a site. People were like what is wrong with you?
Scared me to death, I could have very very easily ran over several people walking across the street. I had the truck towed to dealer. The throttle pedal was looked at and found to be fine. Then the tech and I noticed the mat flip up and over the pedal. Bingo.
Got rid of those mats, and to this day I very regularly look to see where my floor mats are on the floor of my truck.

Apparently the shooter is still alive.

This is just down the road from me. One of my cousins is a helicopter pilot there.
These poor families have gone thru so much already with numerous deployments and losses over the years as it is. This is just senseless.
God be with the families of those killed and hurt.

I believe it is a song about coming off of and trying to stay off drugs. Other rock stars probably can relate to that on a personal level.

More of a 'Sunroom" speaker maybe?

Thank your son for his service!

Funny, admitting to liking her is almost like a dude ordering a wine cooler at a party, full of dudes!

I have found that the more I work out the better it feels. It is a good kind of pain it seems!
-
Texans? Just because it's their turn to go?

I know you weren't really being mean d'tel, just giving you a hard time! I am not on the Atkins. I just try to avoid junk food. I excercise a lot more now. It does feel better to have the weight off. I am no longer on CPAP, have more energy, my knees don't hurt. All good stuff.
-
OK, dtel, that was just wrong. Plain ole mean. The man was sending a cry for help. And you had to describe a wonderful recipe with carbs. Now I want some carbs, and have been cutting back. Lost about 40 pounds so far. Must resist.

How Colter keeps track of his posts?............
Isn't there a Post Office for that!

Well, all 3 made it here safe and sound. I know it is off topic I suppose. But for me today, it helped to see 3 little people pop into this crazy world...

And for all the women on the forum....
I sincerely am sorry for the above comment about pitocin. Labor is no laughing matter. There is very little laughing in labor. There is nothing to laugh about in labor. Men should have to labor. I agree. Would be even more pain control options available if men had to have babies. I agree with this also. Better, even more birth control options would be around if men got pregnant. I too agree with this.
And, yes, I have noticed that many unfair things in womens' lives have the word 'men' in them...
Menopause, Menstration, Mental anguish and breakdown, etc.
For part of the collective Men. I am sorry.

You never heard:
Pit or get of the pot?
Now that's just wrong some you kids out there may say right about now... And I understand. I do.

Yes, that is the way life works.
Speaking of life. The first of the three made it here all safe and sound. A beautiful baby girl! The other two babies seem to want to have absolutely nothing to do with entering the world today. Seem very content with their present living conditions. Nice and dark, quiet, warm... Bright light at the end of the tunnel, Me standing at the end of the tunnel. That's enought to make you want to stay put right there!
The race of the snails!

I just sometimes feel like we are already getting quickly to the point where the significance is practically non existant. By the time these little ones are big... Yeah, it will be a historical footnote.

Absolutely.
My cousin stationed there is fine. He was actually not far from there when it happened. He flies medivac helicopters. Even our hospital in Waco was put on alert to possible recieve casualties.
I still cannot understand how one guy shot so many with pistols, I guess just so fast. And confusing.
And he is a doctor! Not a special forces soldier.
