Took my 6 yr. old RW-12 to the shop--said amp is gone---wonder if sub is worth replacing amp, and, is it a DIY project?

I also recently purchased a full set of RF-35s along with a Yamaha 2700 Receiver and RW-12 Sub. Got the RF's on closeout from local Dealer---very pleased with results.

Has anyone had any experience with the Auto On/Off? Just purchased new RW-12---The Auto On switch ( I understand) is supposed to engage within 2 seconds of receiving a signal----mine turns off when I turn my system off, but rarely comes on when the system's on. Connected to Yamaha 2700 Receiver via Monster cable 400 Sub cable---the thing's got arrows on it (indicating what exactly)....is this a one-way cable....if so, should the arrows point toward the sub or toward the receiver? Not a 911, but would appreciate input from someone who has experience with the RW- 12. Emailed Klipsch support--awaiting response..

16X20 Room; 8' flat ceiling;bought RC-35 Ctr; got room for RB-35s(Mains) & RS-35s (Surrounds); Hitachi 53" HDTV 1080i capable: would like a Receiver that: 1. gives warmth and clarity with above speakers without undue harshness. 2. That is slightly ahead of its time, ie, HDMI, THX, app.125W X 7, ease of use 3. Strong on music (and movies) Also looking on ebay for (probably) RW-12 sub--anything better for the $$$??? I read Mags review on Yamaha 2600; Denon 3806; and Integra 7.6---was more confused after reading it than before. Anybody got informed suggestions??? Thanks!!!
